I didn't think Sugar Ray had any habits to imitate...then I saw this. Tommy was definitely great in this skit. I can't think of anyone else that could have found a gesture of Sugar Ray's to imitate. This scene was hilarious. All three of these men had me laughing and I never forgot that scene. I'm laughing again, after all these years.
That David Alan Grier Ali part with the roach spray was hilarious. It made me look up the original Muhummad Ali commercial and this was definitely spot on.
I rewind back to the Thomas Hearns impression like 6 times. I'm dying here laughing. Tell you what I'm old enough to remember all these guys, and Sugar Ray may have been "small" but Dam that dude could box!
When this skit first aired, i was LMAO!! Tommy’s impression of Sugar was perfect! It was the first impression of him I’ve ever seen. There was a time when In living Color RULED TV. Millennials don’t know what they missed! The 90s was the last great decade for black entertainers.
Back when FOX first started out. Married with Children, this show and the Simpsons were all big shows that no other networks at the time would touch but turned out to be legends.
Millennials are people who came of age at the start of the millennium, so they grew up with this on the television. People keep saying millennials and I think they are referring to Gen Z.
@@christophershaw9014 ILC came out when i was in high school in the 90s. Millennials weren’t old enough to even know what was goin on when it aired. However, today, with repeats, RU-vid, and DVDs they can see ILC.
@@ghanasoul I was in high school in the 90s. I wasn't when this was on but I was in late grade school-middle school when this was on and I watched it. And I'm a millenial.
Psyched to find this one... comic gold! Yeah, it's rough on Ali but hey, no holds barred in comedy. And the impersonations are spot on, particularly Davidson's version of Leonard!
im only 14 and i loooove this show!!!! tommy davidson did lenoard sooo good! Sugar ray came to my middle school when i was in 7th grade and he does act like that!
"Did you say something about roaches? I don't want this baby living with roaches. Hi, its me, Muhammad Ali. Zicon roach spray is the most powerful spray in the world." LOL
I was watching for nostalgic laughs, but I live in Jackson MS and a massive outside cockroach just came in cuz it's been raining all afternoon--and we're out of Raid. So now I'm watching with a flip flop in my hand... and wishing I had some of that Z-Con roach spray @3:55. This show was inspiration for us as kids--it showed how much pure humour could be pulled off on a SERIOUSLY small budget... perfect for us little hillbilly kids with a camcorder in 1989/90. We were Mormon, and we definitely thought the whole 'family act' was a viable future for us so we were writing, rehearsing, practicing, and performing on a weekly basis. :) Thanks for the great memories and inspiration... The full-bellied laughs feel almost lagniappe.
There’s no harm in simply capturing a cockroach and putting it back outside far enough away from your home, dude. Unless you have an infestation issue, there’s no need to kill.
I remember when my aunt and pops used to put this on for me and my cousins. We’d all just sit around and watch every season till it was time to go home. I remember seeing this one and dying at Tommy Davidson 😂” in all ya life you’ll neva lay ya eyes on a more beaitfuh man”
This skit reminds me of my x brother in law we had been smoking weed and slamming ice cold beer when we saw this it was the funniest shit in the world we ended up on the floor we were boxing fans to hadn't saw him in 35 years or heard anything about him in 34 years He was a fun dude to hang out with hope your OK and still laughing brother
