this wasn't an interaction with the public, it was a diversity hire ratting out every cop in the department for saying mean things to him because he's a fuckup.

@user-mp9rd4hg8b Except everyone but police get fired way before a trial even happens, let alone most people not only get fired but charges get dropped and yet you're out of a job in 2 days. "Innocent before guilty" is such a scam when it only applies to those who work in law enforcement or any other judicial system jobs. I find it insane how everyone else doesn't get paid leave when arrested, no matter if innocent or guilty. There's no fairness or justice when the majority are fired without being proven guilty.
@@0101-s7v I agree that everyone deserves due process and should be considered innocent until proven guilty beyond any reasonable doubt. However, for most of us that hasn't been how the system works for a very long time. If public sector individuals and the protected classes have greater protections than the rest of us, which they do, then this is not okay. One group gets arrested, charged, jailed, and prosecuted while the special people get extra vacation days. It is only due process if the process is the same for everyone. Also, you are misunderstanding what the 'probe' is for. The probe is to delay and cover as many backsides as possible while making the problem go away as quietly and painlessly as possible for the special people. When they 'probe' us regular folks, they are often trying to find some way, even if they have to lie and stretch the law to its breaking point, to take your freedom and property. Don't you see that this is the crux of the problem?
Cuz they fire them and in the eyes of law enforcement thats a really harsh punishment so they wouldn't want to punishment their officers anymore. Wild mentality but its one the police have.
Exactly and the let it drag on for over a year in most circumstances, no reinstating with full reimbursement either they were not employed therefore not making money, the unions can pay for their defence costs not the public purse.
These sheriff's probably each make six figures, so they really shouldn't be on paid leave if there is an investigation against them for criminal behavior.
I believe they changed the law AFTER Kealoha, to where if charged with a crime (not sure of degree of crime) while in the force, and let go, they lose their pensions. Kealoha still going get his pension though. 🙄
"Disheartening" I have zero confidence in such weak person that when presented with OUTRAGEOUS life/work changing behavior uses the throw-away word "Disheartening". Your city needs a stronger presence to "fix the wrongs" and to do it with STRENGTH. Zero has EVERY been corrected properly when the person in charge uses the word "disheartening".

It’s always been like that as far as I can remember. We make fun of each other based on our nationalities but we’ve grown a thick skin. But there’s no racial hatred intended. On the other hand I can see a non-local being sensitive to stereotypical comments.

From listening to this DLE Director, this has been going on for years and he has known about it. The fact that he's paying these cops on leave, making excuses for what they've done, etc., show where all this stuff comes from. It comes from the top. He is the racist man that encourages this.

Training schools teach the new recruits not the law, but that they are protected by qualified immunity along with judicial immunity for judges and prosecutorial immunity for prosecutors. Abolish Qualified/Judicial/Prosecutorial Immunity. Certification needs to be revoked as well.
