Candles! Holy smokes---stroke of genius. (And sidenote: A few years back, I found an old oil painting on the side of the road with a red farmhouse on it. I hung it in my kitchen and along with a lot of prayer, it helped me visualize. Now I own a house on 40 acres that looks nearly identical to the painting! Wild, but true story! Saying all this to encourage your purchase of that acreage sign! It really works and I know you will get there soon, Mary!!) And thanks for 3 uploads in one week---best treat ever!

I thrifted a blue duck statue. I have no idea why, but that little dude just made me giggle uncontrollably and I had to have him! I AM WITH YOU on the Lion King, I can't handle it.

In our house -- the small end of the egg cup would hold a hard boiled egg, cut off the top and eat out of the shell -- and the large end holds a soft boiled egg (the cooked egg is de-shelled, cut into the larger cup and then add butter, salt and pepper. Try to find small bone egg spoons! Served with sliced toast! And a large pot of Assam tea! Cheers!

Good tip on the candles! I've probably spent a couple of hundred dollars on candles over the years, but never considered looking for them while thrifting - thank you!

Mixing the blue and red Willow so smart!

I love blue willow! I have some from garage sales, thrift stores and my mom after she passed away. I like to decorate with blue and white, even back in the 80’s when everything was green and peach. I just did my own thing. Love your videos, you give me some great ideas.

Oh man, I am a thrifting junkie! I'm always on the lookout for nice art or even crappy art in good frames. Have scored a couple originals lately that are worth a bit. Love glassware and dishes; also currently obsessed with Willow. And haven't been able to walk past old brass candlesticks in a while. I don't use taper candles, but that shouldn't stop me from buying the candlesticks! My big score last summer was a beautiful heavy af crystal punch bowl and stand. I hosted four Christmas parties last year simply so I could use that punch bowl. In fact, I love it so much it's been out all year. Love this video! Also, RIP to your secretary desk top. I was so sad to see that.

we'd have fun thrifting together, but would also fight, since we have similar tastes......something i find up here [sf bay area] that i really like, are mid-century rice bowls from japan.....i also like to thrift good clear vases. i buy trader joes flowers, arrange them, and have a very decent give for under $15.......scarves, good ones, are a thing that can be bought for a song. i use them to decorate. found a beautiful lavender mohair throw by yves delorme, perfect condition and two more, oldies, freshly cleaned, made in scotland.....all kinds of cool stuff out their. gotta have the eye, but you know that already..........love your new red and white willow. that rectangular piece, really lovely.

Do you go thrifting with a budget in mind? And are there certain things you would not pay a certain amount for? You do find amazing items, but there has to be things you see that are not worth the asking price.
