This is one of those days where there was good feelings in the air. Weather was perfect, the clients were kind, and we topped it off with a decent payday. We gotta love what we do, and if we don’t then we need to make a change. Working alone on this day I couldn’t help but think about how much I love my job. Coming through, and transforming people’s homes in a way that makes the entire neighborhood shine is super rewarding. How did you end up doing on building out your route work? I saw the video from a while ago when you did $200 on a Monday. It seems like you’ve came along way since then! Congrats man!

you dry clean only with a microfiber towel on this slider door screen? Im guessing you take out the door to clean both sides? don't you feel its more efficient to just do it with the applicator and then hit it with a microfiber to remove the soapy water?
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning 2 месяца назад
@@LePerrit at times it can be more of a hassle using the soapy water because there are times where there’s mud streaks from all of the buildup. I feel that I get the same results from a nice dry cleaning, but I always recommend to do whatever works best for you 🤙

@Puffwindowcleaning

@@LePerrit no, I clean it from inside of the house. I don’t like removing sliding screens because I’ve had instances where the mechanics were rotten and fragile or rusted. I only remove window screens

Bro you are a big inspiration. I’m wanting to do this so bad. I’m saving up and investing to return to Canada and buy a van where I can live in it and operate a window cleaning business any tips about how to live in the same van as all your equipment, is it even possible ?
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning 2 месяца назад
@@Botman_Rubthem it’s definitely possible. I’d just find ways to make it not so obvious to the clients that you live in your van, and I’d be mindful to not sleep in there with any gas containers or chemicals. Best of luck bro. Push hard for it and you got it 🤙
@Botman_Rubthem
@Botman_Rubthem 2 месяца назад
@@Puffwindowcleaning right, the van will be wrapped and the bed will raise to the roof hidden out of site in a high top, and if my clients happen to look in I’ll just explain to them it acts as a mobile office so I can be more efficient with my business on the road.
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning 2 месяца назад
@@Botman_Rubthem I’d just be sure to have a solid business and life plan. It Sounds like you’re planning on taking a big risk, so just be sure to have a backup plan, and life things in order in case you hit some bumps in the road. This is a seasonal business, and things do slow down quite a bit in the fall/winter depending on where you live. Best of luck man 🤙
@Botman_Rubthem
@Botman_Rubthem 2 месяца назад
@@Puffwindowcleaning right on man, thanks for the insight. It is a big risk for sure, but no risk no reward, right? While I’m still young I should do it though. there are loads of things I can fall back on now, can’t say that about in the future when I get older, and have to be more careful. And besides at least I have a van that is mobile I can go anywhere if I find it hard to get clients I can just pop over to another city try my luck. Winter time in Canada sucks the big one. But there is always work to be had in some industry as long as the van is properly insulated and I have a heat source it will be ok. Just would find it easier to save up for a property while living in a kitted out van and not giving away all my money to a landlord it’s expensive living anyplace these days.

I worked briefly for a window washing company that refused to use a waterfed pole on any job. They've been in business for 10+ years. Ran by an old guy. Still used shitty Mini vans to lug around around his gear. It got the job done of course. He also specialized in really big homes, interior and exterior. And averaged 1 job per day. Why do you think he didn't want to use waterfed? My theory is that the job would get finished too quickly and he wouldnt have another job ready for that day so his hourly techs would only get a few hours of work a day and therefore be disinclined to work for him. But he also didn't run ads, didn't have a sales team, just pretty much got word of mouth jobs. what do you think?
@Puffwindowcleaning
@Puffwindowcleaning 2 месяца назад
@@trevdawg2 from what I’ve heard it sounds like a lot of guys who have been on business for awhile don’t like to try new things such as water fed, seo, advertising, etc. In my opinion people tend to get stuck in their old ways, techniques, and pricing. The business is constantly evolving and we have to evolve with it or get passed up by the next generation who understands the power of water fed, Facebook ads, seo, a company website, van wraps, etc.
