This video is a tutorial on how to throw a two piece altered square pot from a thrown wall and thrown disk. I put throwing rings in the disk for more visual interest!
When leatherhard, I demo attaching the two pieces together and cleaning the joint. I admit, I should have joined it earlier, but time got away from me and I forgot about it until the next day! I happen to be using Standard 225 stoneware (cone 6) for this demo- as that is the clay my students use on the wheel.

I started my RU-vid channel a few years ago, to make videos to help my students if they are absent and miss a demo, or if they would like to explore more advanced techniques independently. I have been amazed to reach such a wider audience than my own students!
Please subscribe to my channel if you would like to receive channel updates, or would like to learn more about clay and studio processes! Follow me on all social medias under KaransPotsAndGlass!
