I got one of these a few weeks ago. After researching what was out there, I bought this one specifically because it did not cycle down from the turbo mode to a lower setting after a predetermined amount of time. It does, however, come with a warning against using that setting for more than ten minutes continuously. Walking down a dark street, I can see about 100 yards ahead using the turbo setting. I just have to be careful not to shine the light on anything too close to me or I'll blind myself temporarily. :) Great light for the price.
I love this flashlight, I just got it in the mail today, a great Christmas present from my wife. and here I thought I was getting the V1, so when I found out about the V2 coming instead it made it even better. this is my first 18650 flashlight so I'm very happy about it. I enjoyed your video bro, keep up the good work
Congrats on your Shot Show ThruNite sponsorship, Ben. I must admit even I am glad to hear this the end of the flashlight stuff until next year. Have a good one, my friend, Laura
Congrats on the ThruNite sponsorship for Shot Show Ben. That's really great! I've actually held off on the TC-12 in the past (still rockin' the old TN-12).... this may be a great time to pull the string, especially with those different lumen levels... 180 looks awesome. I would agree with you... a light that size is best belt-carried... I'd probably throw away the pocket clip. As you, I also like clicking for mode changes rather than holding buttons down. I like the fact that this also becomes a separate 18650 charger... mullti-purpose is always good. Does it come with a spare ring and usb cover? That looks just a bit flimsy. Welcome Michigan Winter... hope to see great things from your channels. Stay warm my friend!
Awesome little light, everything you need in a pocketable light. Being able to charge it my truck swung it for me . Take a four pack of 18650 's with you when walking ,and you got hours and hours of light. Mines gonna get a lot of use.
i like guns, knives, multi tools, flashlights, and electronics. i also like collection updates, edc updates, and pack updates. CONGRATS ON MAKING IT TO SHOT SHOW! i think you'll have a great time! if you could use your pull with thrunite and convince them to make a low ride deep carry pocket clip option so this jacob manalang guy can stop complaining about them i can finally buy this light and an extra clip to put on my 2014 tn12!
thanks for sharing Ben, I really like the different light modes. side note, the càmilus knife from Walmart camping section with the 4inch fixed blade holds up well. still testing it thou, but it will do most all Bushcraft that the higher end knives will do. $10.00. ttyl.
Congrats on the 100k, I would like to see more gear 32 and below. I live in the south and don't see much temps below that. Not familiar with much gear like that.
If you were going to pair a rechargeable(usb) light with a powerbank like a yeti 400 what would be your go-to light? Application would be for van camping/road trips. Thanks for the reviews and time put in!
Thanks for the heads up. Both my Maratac AA extreme rev1 and AAx2 rev2 died recently, and I loved the simplicity of full tail press for on and half for modes as well as the medium orange peel reflector. Seems to be harder than I thought to find anything too similar.
I was really disappointed in the TN12, I went through two of them. I hope the TC12 is better. I just bought one and now I can send in my TN12 for repair, frankly I think they are going to just replace it. I would rather have a refund as the TN12 has a defective switch design and I have no confidence in the new one they will send me. I really like the TC12 and if someone is thinking about getting the TN12, DON'T, get the TC12 instead.
More gratuitous sex and violence! Oh....Wait.. that wasn't on the list. Sorry! I say just keep doing what YOU want to do. Your enthusiasm shines though on what you like. Keep it coming.
