Made a simple mod today to be able to connect sequential shifters such as the Frex Shift+, DIY shifters, BMW steptronic, EC Sim Pro Shift, Alfa Romeo Selespeed etc without having to use a dedicated USB connection. This saves both money as well as saving a USB slot which is important for games that support limited controllers.

If you are not fussed about feel and only care about out and out performance, I think it is the best out of the 4. There is no misshift, if it moves, it will shift. The Selespeed is similar too but stiffer, ie. slower and feels like a real shifter because after all, it is a real car shifter :)

Really cool mod, ques does your t500rs feel a bit weak from when you first got it mine feels a bit soft when I turn to left not sure why

hello i know this video is very old but i plan on getting the sega shifter any advice for mounting it on a table like you did? And what type of circuit board you used for the macro switches?

Hi, Can you tell me how to connect the sellespeed, are there any wires that you connect to the hid usb? Is that simple? I in the way to buy one and I just want to know if there is just a few wires like in a normal button, a wire for the up shift and a ground and a wire for down shift and ground.

were did you buy the shifter knob for the frex+? the rubber one?

Don't think so. The calibration at startup is no longer violent but I think that was due to firmware updates but in game, no, I don't think I notice any difference.

Yea im back on had to use back original equipment, need to make a sturdy shifter stand what i made is wobbley

The selespeed shifter seems to be the best and the cheapest, is it hard to cable? I have zero electronics skills

@ecotts, not sure why I can't reply to your post but I can to others. Sometimes RU-vid really baffles me. Will send you a PM. Hopefully that will work, but in a nutshell, IMHO, although the Frex is good, the Selespeed is fantastic.

EC Sim: € 123.00 Frex Shift+: 12,000 Yen Selespeed shifter (used off eBay): about £40 Sega arcade shifter (used off eBay): about $40-$50 Postage not included in the prices above.
