As Luke the Lone Wolf explores a remote mountain top, he is alerted to the presence of something walking in the woods behind him. He runs towards the sound only to find nothing.....
Shortly afterwards, a strong thunderstorms floods the area and Luke uses a massive rock for cover.
Then as he's once again hiking the now flooded trails, whatever it was is following him again....

@@gogereaver349 nope. Bears of all types/colors are notorious for the noise they make. Not only their feet, but they tend to crash THROUGH bushes and trees as opposed to going around like all the other animals do. And they grunt, snort, snuffle, and if they are walking on 2 legs instead of 4, their gait is uneven with no rhythmic tempo, whereas a human walks with a beat. And that’s what those footsteps sounded like.

Being in a shallow cave or under a rock ridge in a lightning storm is pretty high risk. People think they are safe from strikes, but its just the opposite. When lightning jumps a gap, any object or person bridging the gap helps conduct the current. Because of this, being near the edges of overhangs is extremely dangerous during thunderstorms. This goes for setting up shelters under overhangs during thunderstorms. A lot of people just dont realize the danger.

I have had friends ask me how to know if I had a bear in my campsite during the night. I told them, that if I hear something walking around, then it is a deer. But, if I didn't hear it walking around, then it was either a bear or a big foot. It usually takes them about a half a minute to get the fact that bears and big foot are quiet (or I have never had one in my campsite). I always love how vibrant the colors are in the rain.

I'm fascinated by the personalities I see. When you talked about saying "Oh yeah" a lot when you eat, it reminded me of my father in the way that mealtime has importance, and the comfort of the routines it brings. Also, the way you tell stories in a way that helps me feel like I was right there with you. You also remind me of him in the cautious way that you approach dangerous situations, being very cognizant of the dangers and possibilities and working hard to be prepared for anything that may happen. While he could be a creature of comfort and routines, he could also push himself to endure when necessary and you demonstrate that often. I also appreciate that you like to push yourself out of your comfort zone frequently in order to explore new places, new things and of course new gear which is awesome. I sense that sometime in the past, you've probably struggled to know what gear to buy in this quickly changing world where the old standards may no longer be the best or even available anymore and were frustrated a few times and that I'm guessing that's probably what led you on a journey to creating this channel. To find out for yourself and to share with others so that others may benefit and for that I'm grateful because there are so few really doing what you do. Thank you.

Usually, places in the forest that have place names such as Devil's canyon, Ape Canyon, Monkey ridge, wood monster trail, etc. are inadvertently named after Big Foot because of numerous sightings and incidents. Most times in the 1700's and 1800's, people who had a sighting did not realize exactly what they had seen, so they named these areas after animals they had seen or were knowledgeable with. @@debbianderson1687 dishonesty has many layers. By inventing a narrative where he splices in footsteps into the editing process so he can send chills up peoples spines is mostly harmless. It was such an amateurish attempt though and the problem is he's pretending to hear those footsteps, when in reality he hears nothing. That IS dishonest. Because I've been a fan for over a year and when I saw this episode, it made me not a fan. I bought into the wild camping in snow and storms etc. Now I'm thinking, did he really stay overnight? On any camping trips? Or did he film a couple of hours, go back to a nice warm bed, then come back the next morning to film some more. I prefer authenticity. It's just my brand of coffee. When youtubers pull stunts and pretend they're real, that's Tasters Nasty right there. Luke is a good person though, that I can tell. Maybe he needs to decide on a direction and stick to it. Go down the story style videos where he edits for maximum effect and excitement. Or does he go down the truly authentic route, and risk having a few videos being "boring" where nothing particularly happens except a good man enjoying the wilderness at it's most serene. Another youtuber called Livin the Van life goes down the latter, and I love it. Even the videos where hes chopping wood, making a fire and making some food. It the right setting, perfect!

Backpacking alone in those desolate areas are just too dangerous and you should always have another person with you , just in case . And while a handgun is better than nothing , I would recommend , if your State allows it , to take a look at the Mossberg Shockwave . It is a 12 gauge with a 14 " barrel and birds head grip and is classified as an " other " rather than a shotgun . They make plenty of scabbards that would strap to your backpack so it can be carried easily . A 12 gauge would be most comforting especially when hearing footsteps following you . A 12gauge will handle two legged predators as well as a four legged predator .

A lot of the places with these strange names are what we witches/mediums call “Liminal Spaces” areas where the electromagnetic field has more frequently occurring anomalies that allow for strange things to occur such as time travel, inter-dimensional mingling, and even seeing strange entities/people/creatures/cryptids etc. I’d chop it up to being a bear except for the fact that it happened even after trying to speed up the distance between you and “it”.

I envy you. I'm 63 now and physically broke down and can't get out there anymore. There is a trail nearby in Moreau state park that is 2.8 miles of incline. Bear city.

Footsteps sounded exactly like yours. I’m guessing it was actually your footsteps edited back in. Definitely sounded bi-pedal, and not only that but the same timing as yours and same heaviness..Also sounded like the exact same surface. It sounded just like your exact footfall on the exact trail with puddles etc..a Bigfoot would have a different cadence, sound noticeably heavier/bigger and different cadence..same for a bear or anything else.

OMGoodness Luke, in all the videos I've watched of your adventures (found you in 2017), I've never never felt so creeped out, it was those wet loud footsteps, that sent chills throughout my body, when you stopped and turned around, I fully expected to see someone or something behind you, it's the something that got me feeling creeped out. I live in Great Britian so no bears, wolves, coyote's and it was far too heavy to be a deer or the like, also they sounded bipedal not for footed, so ruling out another human, what does that leave???...................Bigfoot yeah I know sounds stupid but with the amount of people that say they have seen them I just cant believe then all to be making it up, or mistaking a Bear for said Bigfoot, as many that say they have seen Bigfoot are long time hunters, some of these hunters will tell you they didn't believe before seeing one themselves, so I kinda think there is most definitely something strange out in the forest, mountains and nations parks of the the United States of America. I've no idea of your thoughts on the subject of Bigfoot, but what we heard on you day out in the wet and windy woodland in the mountains, makes little sense because you heard it, as did we. So please be careful when out on your own, I really enjoy all your videos and look forward especially to Thursdays posted videos of your Adventures.⛺⛈⛈⛺

Just a female cougar looking for a mate or dinner. - I've hiked alone but had a 2 way radio / cell phone / revolver and a bit more. Loved hiking a trail on the ridge line. Lovely views for miles on it. Don't think I would hike it during a thunderstorm. I don't like lightning very much. Wet rocks even less. Hope everyone had a lovely and safe Thanksgiving.

One of the reasons I hike armed. You never know what you’ll run into walking alone in the woods. That wet stomping you heard was probably a bear. Thank you for sharing this video.

Hi Luke, wow those footsteps were loud and clear! Seemed to match your pace but didn’t stop when you did! Could you tell how close (approximately)it was? Very jarring.. Absolutely beautiful scenery! Luv the colors of the fall foliage. Great hidden nook among the rock cliffs! Really enjoyed this video! Thank you for sharing your life with us. Warmest regards to Susie and family. See ya on the next video. Frances

Nice whip around just as the video cut. YT put an ad there just like a scary TV scene . Luke, this might be a good place to do a bigfoot episode. There is a comment that many places named devil's something is because there were strange things back in the day, but i think you are right about the rock formations being part of the name.

One time I was slipping through the woods and stopped to scout down into a ravine. I looked behind me when I stopped and not two feet behind me was a 150-pound whitetail doe. That gave me the chills for a while.
