Just got mine today, and after literally checking every hour when I got the notice that they would be delivered today, they were too small--talk about a grown man crying! I ordered an exchange and printed up that shipping label lightning fast. I'm dropping them off at UPS in like 10 minutes. Hopefully, I'll be getting the next pair soon. It was love at first sight for me with these! I'm probably pulling the trigger on the Logger and Explorer (when it's back in stock), too.

@@stylewithaltitude Surprisingly, yes. I usually wear an 11.5, so I ordered the 11. The pair was, most definitely, too small. So I ordered the 12. The boots should arrive to me by Wednesday, if you'd like an update.

@@Naurif On the sides or in length? Funny man, I did a few reviews of different Captains and I also had a similar experience with them, when I needed to go two full sizes down from my shoe size instead for the rogue boots lol. But sure sounds good!

Because these leathers are so unique, we do not recommend applying any conditioning or protective products to them. If additional cleaning is required, we recommend visiting your local cobbler or shoe repair shop so they can handle this professionally.

Are the boots on Amazon used? First pair I returned had 2QC problems, just got replacement And it was in a completely different box like random. Amazon box, and this pair also had stitching coming apart.

Can the matte leather be polished? I've been looking at the legend boots and all they have is black matte. While I like the look, I'd like to know if it can be shined up to a degree?

Hi Thursday Boots. I have just received some Captains here in the UK (via Amazon UK). They are size 10 (UK size) and are just a little tight on the top of my foot to the toe, I wondered about returning and trying a UK 10.5 but Amazon don't have them in brown. Question, how much do they give as they break in? It feels like they might, but I don't want to end up putting these on the shoe rack and not wearing them as they are superb in every way. Any heads up would be appreciated. Thanks. Andy

I'm not from the company obviously, but I've worn 2 pairs of Thursdays for hundreds of miles. Thursday's have a really rough break-in in comparison to other brands like Allen Edmonds. I had a lot of difficulty with driving with them at first, they were so stiff. However, they do relax with time and wear and become much more comfortable. I would recommend for you to keep wearing them. Hope this helps.

Hey Andy! I'm sorry we missed this- It typically takes a few wears to give but it really depends on the person. It's okay if they initially fit a little snug but if they are painfully tight we'd recommend exchanging them for half a size up!

U totally suck......LoL.......I have the Captains in burnt cooper & absolutely love them. I HAVE TO HAVE a pair of these in my closet NOW. love the matte look in black. I’m going into Manhattan next week to pick them up. I met one of the owners last time I picked up a set for me & my son. Such a gentleman. Character & Integrity are paramount and it shows in their craftsmanship & business. Only boots I now buy......period!

Hey Richard! The boots are highly water-resistant, but we do not say waterproof since the boots are welted and the welt creates a barrier between your foot and the outside. We've worn the boots in all conditions as well as customers with no issues from snow to rain, and even having some customers travel the world in them.

We find most customers find success ordering the same size they wear in most other leather boots or shoes. Based on what works for most of our customers, we would recommend, using the "Find My Size" feature on our site for a sizing recommendation, when viewing the particular boot or shoe that you're interested in. If you're looking at more than one style or color, please be sure to repeat the procedure as there may be slight sizing recommendations

The boots are water-resistant and will keep your feet dry in wet conditions. However, they are still leather and shouldn't be soaked in water.

It is a matte leather so doesn't have the normal shine to it. It can be hard to capture in photos! 😅

We don't make steel toe boots yet, so we don't recommend them as work boots. I wouldn't say strictly for fashion or office wear since we have customers travel, hike, and do pretty much whatever in them!

How is this "matte black" leather cared for? Saddle Soap? Mink Oil? Shoe Cream? Shoe Polish? Beeswax?

We recommend you use a Premium Shoe Brush to remove any dirt on the surface, then optionally spray the boot with Leather Cleaner and use a clean Microfiber Cloth to wipe them down.
