On my last night in Delhi I headed with my friends Sam and Mili to Little Tibet or Majnu Ka Tilla. We went on an epic Tibetan street food tour of Little Tibet!
TRAVEL HUSTLE REPEAT GEAR ► teespring.com/...
MY FILM MAKING KIT ► kit.com/davids...
Manju Ka Tilla is home to second generation of Tibet refugees and is also known as Samyeling, through colloquially as "Little-Tibet" or "Mini-Tibet".
It really feels like you are going straight into China. It's full of restaurants, small shops, street vendors, narrow alleys and of course street food!
Here are all the street food dishes we tried in Manju Ka Tilla or Little Tibet:
-Lhaphing
-Gyurma
-Salafine
-Dal Makhani
-Afghani Chicken
-Momos
I hope you loved this Tibetan Street Food Tour of Little Tibet! If you like this video please give it a thumbs up and drop me a comment!

PLEASE change your title. It is "Indo-Tibetan" or simply Tibetan food. Ask ANY ONE OF THEM...do they call themselves as "Chinese" or their culture as "Chinese". You'll get an emphatic NO. Please do NOT appropriate their culture into the Chinese one when they themselves have gone through hardship to escape China. #PS- Love your vlogs..keep rocking.

exactly its funny how they went to Tibetan market/settlement and calling it all chinese food. Tibetan dumpling looks similar from outside as chinese but the taste is completely different thats why its called momo not dimsum. No hard feelings but both of your friends lack knowledge on local Tibetan foods and also blending with local and asking question will help you a lot in future. God Speed buddy

Momo originally pronounced as "mogmog" is a Tibetan food not a Chinese food for they've their own version of dumplings named "Baozi" that has quite distinct taste & texture. If someone is to argue that momo is originally Chinese, I may accept it on the ground that all the dumplings, be it from Japan, Mongolia & Korea also are to be tagged with such claims which is certainly not the case since they're all sovereign states while Tibet is still a part of China. So it's understandable for not getting the same level of recognition as others do. Anyway, all the people who're momo or Tibetan street food-goers, I want to make sure that you're getting healthy & authentic ones since they were health issues in New Delhi regarding the sales of stale & unhealthy momo. You should ask the one who's dealing these food items as whether they are Tibetan or not, otherwise you'll end up getting masala filled momo with mayonaise & chutni (God, that taste sucks, Nepali momo)
@patrickg8672
@patrickg8672 5 лет назад
I want to point out that, “馒”(pronounced as "man" in modern Mandarin, "mo" in Chinese northern dialect, has written records since around 300 CE. Today, "momo"( 馍馍), is commonly used in northern China to refer to this kind food. I would suppose this kind of food origins from ancient China.
@Kim-m2z
@Kim-m2z 5 лет назад
@Patrick G u believe what chinese have written in their record? china annexed tibet and amended Tibet history several times to the point that everything happened in Tibet history is named into china's history and to make it believe to their upcoming generation china also change all the province name into chinese n migrated loads of unemployed chinese to Tibet destroying and polluting our environment. All these injustice was n is happening in Tibet and u talking about momo name is used in northern china!!!! it must be northern tibet where amdo (one of the main province of Tibet) lives there.
