It's likely because of the amount of text in the panels the further in to the series you get. He's said it a few times during his reviews. Pages are flooded with text, and he compares it to Dragon Ball Z and Toriyama's brilliant panels.
@@westy1637 I get that it's me and his differing tastes but paneling is not equivalent to quality for ME personally. But even still, I don't think poor paneling during the late sections of one piece knocks it down an entire tier, it's definitely way better than OG Db

You absolutely have to read and watch Vinland Saga... it's probably going to becone your favorite series ever, mainly due to the themes and execution, it's a masterpiece,give it a shot
I want him to review Vinland Saga so bad.. the anime has gotten the wider audience into it but the manga is so beautiful and amazing. For some of the same reasons he liked Mob Psycho 100 so much he would love Vinland Saga.
Vinland Saga is really awesome but I think the problem is that it kind of peaks in the first 2 arcs and then never gets that good ever again outside of a few moments

@@glctcthnkr8059 hard disagree,the payoffs and the situations thorfinn finds himself in from the halfway point forward are all great,with numerous occasions that test his mettle and his resolve. That single page (everyone that read the manga knows what i am talking about) made me weep like a damn child. It was such a powerful,powerful moment that i really cannot put into words how great it was. So,i respect your opinion,but i gotta disagree,as far as i am concerned all of Vinland Saga is a masterpiece . No other story touched me so deeply,not even Berserk.

@@KittastropheTM we all have our own takes and likes and dislikes but I’d say both part 7 and 8 are S. That is due to the great amount of development the main characters go through especially the protags. Example, josuke’s complex shift between identity, all for the resulting purpose of figuring out his own identity, that being through his most important person, being his mother. He accepted he didn’t belong to any past self and etc. I’d say part 7 is definitely an S because of not gyro and Johnny but the complex thematic ideas from the antagonists. Especially Ringo Roadagain and his thematic complex involving a societal issue concerning the new and old society. I just say both are S because of how creative and grounded the characters’ motives are for the majority of the story, where they could even be displayed and applied in today’s society.

Part 3 displayed repetition, which was definitely tiring at times, but what produced the entirety of its enjoyment was the crew. The crew’s uniqueness out shadowed the repetition to a great extent. Part 1 was definitely boring at times haha. Usually tbh
You should review what’s currently out of ChainsawMan Part 2. It’s pretty much ended it’s first series of arcs and has some of the best writing of the series.
Im a huge db fan. I own all of og db manga and Z (and will be getting super soon) l. Ive watched all of the db shows 3 times or more, ive played all the games, the card games, own statues, and can sing any and every Kai intro and super intro...yet I never knew gt had a manga, i even looked it up to be sure. Its not "AkiraVerse" canon but im almost dissappinted in myself as a db fan.
I 100% agree with full metal in S tier. I believe that its so underrated i dont hear anyone talk about it enough. That is an anime i recommend still to this day to new anime fans.
@@AnonTDegenerate same thing. Watched the anime and it Peaked at part 2, loved 4 and thought 5 was pretty good. Switched to the mane and read 6, then decided I wouldn’t go bac to anime. *Edited* Especially because part 6’s anime was nowhere near as good as the manga.
I'm just kinda shooting in the dark here, but maybe it's because of Berserk's dark and graphic content that production companies are less eager to jump at it or put a lot into it? Like how in the US, Hollywood gets nervous with doing big budget R-rated movies - they don't often sell nearly as well as PG-13 movies. Plus, Japan gets weird about gore at times.
I know it's not very likely but I really think he should read pokemon adventures! It is mind blowing with how he ranks things it would probably be low a rank.
Pokemon Adventures is what i actually imagined the games to be before i actually played them. The games were nowhere close to being as realistic and Great as the manga was but they were still good games. Unfortunately, Those games have become shit as well overtime.

Hell yeah, FMA and MP100 are absolutely 100% deserving of that S tier. I’m almost tempted to say Berserk should be demoted to A tier because the anime adaptations range from ok to AWFUL but the manga is so good that I don’t think that would be fair to Kentaro Miura.
Z isn't a thing. It's a made up term used to benchmark the part of the original Dragon Ball manga that followed the end of the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. So the tier for Dragon Ball represents the beginning where Goku meets Bulma ALL the way to the moment Goku flies away with Uub

I don’t think people would get that offended; it is just Mark’s opinions. I feel like One Piece fans know that One Piece is great, while also knowing that not everyone will feel the same way when experiencing different scenes.

Of course bleach is amazing but it has some flaws it’s super easy to get sick of the filler and some of the fights are boring but it’s still an amazing series

Hasn't finished half the manga on the list- I've said before and I'll say it again, once he reviews steel ball run jojo will soon become an S tier Also putting bleach down so far on the list is just straight heresy, has one of the best arcs in all of anime and the best characterisation of the big three

I thought this was a rankings of manga, why are you considering the anime in your rankings? The anime should have nothing to do with these ranks. Like, how does the Jojo anime affect the manga rank at all? Also you said one piece had the best world building out of any piece of media you consumed, how does that rank the same as deathnote, who’s second half sucked and gets an “A, I guess”? I rewatched the video and noticed you snuck “and anime” in there real quick, should probably add that to the title of your video.

So that point is invalid. and kefla is a fusion of a super saiyan 2 and a legendary ss. So hanging with god power isnt super far fetched. I agree thats dumb. But theres by far nothing as dumb as BASE kid goku tanking hits from the strongest villain in gt that required a ss4 fused gogeta. Imo dragonball z should be no lower than b in this tier list. Did GT revert character development into gimmicks? I didn't think so, so GT is leaps and bounds better than Super.
You should check out Solo Leveling, the fights in that are beautiful, especially in the manga. Plus, i'd like to hear your thoughts on it, it's a pretty good series
I'd love to see this at an arc level so we can really get down to brass tacks. Holistically i might agree with many of these ranking. But i think many have S tier arcs and some really unfortunate arcs too.
Need to review bleach fr, theres a reason its one of the big three, just know the latter half kind of falls due to kubo’s health and lack of wanting to actually continue the series, although he has said he will rework the anime to fix his regrets and might work another arc into the manga
@@donuts7607 i mean .. How much you actually enjoyed the show ... How easy was it for the reader to figure out what the plot is about... Some character are just perfect and needs little to no character development... Complex writing and too much realism makes it hard for ordinary guys like us to understand and appreciate this and then the series becomes booring...
I haven't read the manga for Death note but I watched the anime. I thought I was the only one that believe that there's part 1 & part 2. Part one is like an incredible game of chess. Part 2 is game one ending in checkmate but you realize there were 3 kings you had to checkmate in the game.
I’m ok with his opinion being he likes most of those more than one piece, but I physically can’t accept him thinking that of Attack on Titan. I realize his life has been a bit rough lately but there’s no justifiable reason to enjoy that much edgy over one piece
For a diehard On Piece fan, this is a fair ranking given 1. He's read it all, 2. He gave valid reasonsing for why it BARELY didn't get S Mark is awesome and I can never not respect his opinion!
The paneling really does kill it, plus a few times where certain story decisions really take away from the narrative weight that certain moments may have had (i.e fake out deaths)
I haven't completed it so can't really say much but from all I've heard and all I've seen so far, it's amazing ( am at fake karakura town arc ) I think it should get an A atleast? Idk gotta edit this comment after I complete watching it

PLEASE MARK IF YOU SEE THIS READ KINGDOM. One piece is by far my favourite anime but kingdom, kingdom I would say surpasses even one pieces level of world buliding. It’s truly insane.
