Hey! I’m a Fabricator and your tungsten when u finish welding is still glowing red even after your gas stops, up the post flow until that tungsten cools down and you won’t have issues with it getting contaminated! Like the comment so he sees it guys
TIG welding is so peaceful and almost therapeutic while welding seeing the puddle move along in a leisurely phase, been a few early mornings where i was almost falling asleep while welding
That was awesome to see! Having filmed the process for Steed Speed and seeing your setup now I really appreciate the work that goes into these manifolds! Your manifolds truly are a piece of art! Also thanks for the country update ;)
@ 4:50 Love the professional door opener mechanism in the background :) Spear&Jackson FTW As for the camera "not doing good at life", there is always a minimum focal distance which is dependent on the specification of the lens. Looks like it was inside that minimum focal distance, which is something I'm intimately acquainted with since getting glasses last year 🙄 If that happens all you will get is a blur, until you move it back outside of that distance.
Your tungsten is contaminating / losing its sharpness because of your post flow. You can see the tungsten is still red hot when the post-flow ends. The hotter you weld, the longer the postflow will need to be. Typically anywhere from 8-12 seconds
Hey dude ! Been watching you for a long time. I’ll let you into a little secret, get yourself a tig finger from Jody- (welding tips and tricks) he’s on RU-vid. It’s just a sleeve for a single finger on your gloves ( buy the xl one ). It makes that hand so much more steady when you can close in on the weld area. Cheers bud, love everything you do. ❤
Wasn't surprised your Landy won the power on the LRM Dyno test. But that torque was impressive on the M57. Still prefer the simplicity of the OM606, OM605 .
The whole diesel scene is not my thing but have to admit I do enjoy watching your content especially pleasing to watch a normal guy talking normally doing the things he loves . Nice development work you have done and do like your pumps and manifold too . Coming from a race car background I do however get the craving to build a slightly pimped yet tastefully done ‘kiss my ass Klause ‘ defender and plod around the roads of Lincolnshire looking like a farmer who doesn’t give a fcuk . 👍
You pulled one of my tricks someone starts talking about things I want to stop talking about I just nod the hood and strike the arc for some reason or another they get the picture and go away
Looks cold and slow with a bit to longer arc i would have been nearer 200amps and faster travel Did i hear you say stainless rod ? If so asking for cracking on mild steel to mild steel Machining to die for though
If it was me I’d probably lay a root in there then a heavier cap pass over the top and machine off the excess. Although I’ve never been much good as a business man 🤣 I suppose it would show anyway unless coated. I’m Surprised you’re using 308 filler wire, but presumably this has yielded good results for you?
Hello my friend, I have been watching your work for a very long time!!!! such a question, I want to install a 606 engine on a 2008 Mercedes GL 320.... Thanks in advance. Really looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
2.4 will b fine any where 50 to geting on 300 on dc no problem as long as its sharpend nice Think gas coverage with that long stick out is causing it to crud up
