When I get into a relationship, one of my conditions in deciding whether we are compatible, is if the other party is okay with having separate bedrooms. It's something I've been doing for the last few relationships, and I honestly wonder why more people **don't** do it this way. Like we have a main bedroom where we sleep together most nights (my room), and my partner has their own room. If they or I want to be alone, then we know we have our own private, comfortable spaces to decompress. I'd encourage more people (if you have the financial means to, I know houses and renting are expensive!) to do this, I've found it's really helped. All my relationships have ended amicably because we encouraged personal spaces, boundaries and effective communication in wishing to have our own personal space.
