The statistic he used was per 100k people. Because Jamaica has a smaller population then some other countries that are much more violent, the statistic misrepresents violent areas/ clusters (that exist in most countries), and ignores countries with more overall violence, spread throughout the country ( by a wide margin) but more people.
what I don't get is that he purely sets himself up for failure here. like in other videos you see him literally putting tap water from the street in his mouth which even most locals don't do, but then talks down on the food/sanitation... also he knew he didn't want the big chaotic crowds when there are plenty of parts of India that are super chill, why would he pick the neighborhoods and cities with the highest population densities and then be upset about the population density...

He "the big strong white man" talks to the "violent and savage" black Jamaicans who would kidnap a "pure, innocent white woman". Its playing into racist stereotypes of violent black men who will kidnap and gRape "weak" white women. His entire video is propagating racist stereotypes. Reminds me of when I was much, much younger suburbanite visiting the "hood". These "poorer" communities (they don't have cul-de-sacs and cookie-cutter houses) were "dangerous" with rampant gun-violence and "gangsters" (young black men) loitering around. Really, really disgusting and racist stereotypes i was fed and regurgitated as a kid.
I am half indian by way of trinidad and my in laws (salvadorains) have been so racist towards me. . . Telling me I'm not asian. Telling me India is not in asia. Telling me i am white because of Indians perceived class. I appreciate this video because i feel that i have no community and because i am in the USA, I've tried to assimilate to spanish speaking culture. . . Which has been a major mistake. My brother who has a darker complexion got called osama by our own white cousins and have people randomly singing arabian nights at him. . . And people think it is funny. I hate when conservatives bring up homelessness as an alternative argument against supporting immigrants cause you know they don’t gaf about homeless people as they’re all for blocking solutions that could help them (social aid, affordable housing, decriminalizing certain drugs, etc)
I was homeless in Bostons drug zone, the type of place he "investigates". I and my friends, I made true friends out there weren't monsters. There was mental health, jail problems and addiction....but there were HUMANS. Kind humans who shared the little they had with me, and I with them. Eventually I got the mental health and addiction treatment I needed and have been housed and clean since 2020. This guy is trash. He not only exploits the most marginalized people in the country but also convinces people that homelessness is a moral failure and it isn't. Also just as a side note, sex criminals were not accepted there. In Boston they are called skinners and were considered the worst and forced out. I hate this man for the harm he's done, and all for money.
