They try SO hard to make their product seem like something that’s ACTUALLY useful.

I've seen these drop shippers call themselves "business owners" yet it's painfully obvious they've never taken a basic business or marketing class in their lives.

I've seen tons of hand sewing machines ads on my shorts. They be like: 'prototype' stapler with duck taped needle vs 'our product'. Like dude, you invented NOTHING. They been for years on Ali and different places. I cannot believe people get scammed on that, playing lots of money.

When it comes to those knitting machines the thing I love the most is that people who use them almost always call their products handmade anyway lmao like girl with that logic you could argue that IKEA furniture is also handmade because 1% of the entire production process is done by people

I own a knitting machine, i love it, i love crafting, crocheting, embroidery, knitting all of it. That c section comparation is absolutely ridiculous tho, i wont defend that. But the number of sweater dresses it has made from my favourite yarns that i find tricky to work with is amazing and for people who end up hoarding yarn for long without using it, it easily helped me use up the beautiful yarn i own but would have probably never used before.

JFC the c-section comparison....... MAM i lost my core mussels and am stills struggling to sit up from laying down 20 months after. also those cheap knitting machines are only really good for hats. The ones that can really make cool stuff are EXPENSIVE and you still have to do some hand knitting at the end and hand sewing.

Yo, its not just drop shippers. I saw some balmy box or something box thats ad said "why i regret getting X product." I also saw some food ad like hello fresh or misfits market say "why you shouldnt get this" type crap. I always comment that i had planned on it, but after seeing the ad, decided not to. They need to see people saying that their ad convinced them to not get the product. Those ads are stupid and annoying.

As a C-section baby who knits... what even with that first product. With that kind of machine you get tubes of knitted fabric. This knitted fabric WOULD NOT have the YO (Yarn over) holes as shown in that sweater if you just sat there cranking the handle the whole way. (I believe there may be a way to achieve it but that would have to be manually done on the prongs.) I personally don't use knitting machines as they are typically for knitting hats and such and I don't like the seam they leave at the top. Plus I like to add variation to my knitting with different patterns... which isn't an easy thing to do with those machines. Like they can be great for a basic tube of fabric quick but like dude... no... just no. You are not going to magically get a sweater out of it with patterns and such very easily. While those machines can be good for knitters who either need a tube quick or are disabled its not the 'quick fix' you're looking for. (Neither is a C-section but I doubt that much thought was put into the comment.)

Every ad played a metal cover on an acoustic guitar. Not one of them even tried to act like they knew how to play.

I would just use a spatula to flip the pancake and not ruin the raw part. For the pizza I would just take it out tough mother style with clean bare hands (...after the oven cools down).

That circular knitting machine cannot make a cardigan. Depending on the circular size they can make hats to socks to sweaters. Simply put; a sweater is a main tube and you can make sleeves then attach them by knitting them manually, and even do the finishing touches too. A cardigan is two sleeves that can be made on a circular machine, but the main body is a square so it can have buttons attached to close it like a jacket. The finished product also has one of those little string loops that you can hang the piece on the hanger without stretching out the shoulders. Why would you attach that if it's hand-cranked on the machine? I would just fold it and not go through the trouble of attaching tiny stitches to a thin piece of ribbon. The design holes, the drop stitches, can probably be done for a sweater, it depends on the machine's versatility.

I had a “knitting machine” as a kid but I actually had to put work into it. It was just a circular thing with pegs so you could make a hat or scarf, it worked like rainbow loom but with string. Wrap a loop pull first loop over second loop repeat.

As a C-section baby who ALSO dabbles in crochet (which is easier than knitting which I still wanna try and learn eventually). That is a CRAZY comparison! A better comparison would be "Saying this isn't real knitting is like saying using pre-made character makers isn't real character creation" (even tho I would prefer to learn the skill myself rather than use a machine but if you wanna do it and don't have time to learn, it is understandable)

A functional comparison of that machine to birthing would be commercial scale surgical machinery for the removal of a baby, circumventing labor. A c-section still involves much of the work that a normal birth involves.

Some of these are useful to disable/ different able. The pancake flipper is a good example. Useful for lower dexterity, arthritic hands, little kids learning. Not just for pancakes, sunny side up eggs would be great with this tool

Pretty relatable. I know someone who sold their TV for a projector and trust me it's not good and not only that though a projector is pretty useless. The only time you need one is if you have a smartboard and in a school setting. Not at home use. And with the food holder thing. The towel is a great way to hold food. I would hold food out of the oven like that. Or another thing is wear gloves on your hands so you don't burn yourself that's some great advice right here.

I have that exact knitting machine. I literally bought it because I want to make stuff fast and easy. I make things like hats for donation to women's acute shelter, homeless shelter, refugees etc. It saved my wrists from dying so I can hand knit the sweaters and other more complicated things while being able to produce more things for charity. The end result is a knitted hat but I don't even compare it to hand knitting. Her take on it is ridiculous. Comparing it to childbirth vs c-sevtion is ludicrous. It's so different from actual knitting that they can't even really be compared. I see it as a totally different form of crafting.
