Tim Bradley SOUNDS OFF on Shakur Stevenson boring performance; Says Gervonta his toughest test! 

This clown got a lot to say about Canelo when Canelo dominates his opponents and actually tries to knock them out but when it’s shakur it’s a technical masterclass or “shakur is beating his opponent mentally”. Facts are this, Shakur fights like a damn coward and was scared to get knocked out. Fight should’ve been a draw. Toprank and then commentators real good with the narratives too talkin bout shakurs hand is injured. Nah he just didn’t want to get countered and get knocked out. Dude fought scared same way charlo did against Canelo.

Shakur's left hand wasn't hurt, He was just scared to throw it. He tried setting it up with his "probing jab" in the beginning, but quickly abandoned his signature set up after Shakur's realized that De Los Santos is not onlymore heavy handed than him, but faster too. De Los Santos team actually did an amazing job "defensively", but offense was non-existant, Edwin actually had a chance of winning this fight if they had a better offensive plan and practiced cutting off the ring more and focus on the body attack and breakdown👍

I disagree with mike, bigger men keep coming. Yesterdays HWs used to be today’s cruisers, dempsey/louis averaged 5’9-6’0 185-190lbs, ali/foreman averaged 5’11-6’2 210-230lbs, now they’re giants with many over 6’5 230-260lbs. Tomorrow 7’0 270lbs will be common. With the rise in size will come athleticisms too. This wasn’t a scientific analysis, just bits and pieces i’ve gleaned over the 60 somewhat years i’ve watched boxing from a small b&w tv with tubes inside to over a 65” flatscreens that’s mountable on a wall. And this is within less than one lifetime.

He doesn’t criticize shakur as hard as he criticizes other fighters. Tim chooses who he likes and doesn’t. ESPN should get a commentator who doesn’t bash every fighter they don’t like.

tim bradley hit the nail on the head. yes this was a boring performance from shakur, but if you reflect on the valdez, herring and yoshino performances, something wasn’t right with him tonight and it’s totally normal to have an off night. as usual, his defense was absolutely immaculate, but the offense was non-existent. valdez is a better opponent than de los santos so people need to stop acting like shakur got “exposed”. i truly believe all his issues were internal, shakur was his own worst enemy tonight. the real problem lays with the casual fanbase, and the deluded people who try call themselves “real fans”. shakur took complete and utter accountability for a bad performance, seemed resentful that he disappointed the fans, and all people have done is write him off. honestly, what more do you want? he took accountability and he knows he’s better than that. this is EXACTLY why the big fights done happen anymore. a fighter has a bad performance, or loses, and all of a sudden their value is completely decimated.
