I'm certainly no fan of Owens but she said that Crowder's behaviour was b!tch like and explained this by saying that he had lied and then tried to frame a man to build up his own customer base. On the same video there was yet another person who thought that the Babylon Bee satirical take on it was genuine. Those are the kinds of people who believe this.

The entire thing was hilarious in how delusional and nonsensical it was. What he took issue with was literally an opening offer to begin negotiations - the money, work required, and other varying terms in it weren’t set things they were terms all open for negotiation. Which is how every opening offer sheet works. Whenever you send an initial offer sheet the money is less than you’re willing to pay and the terms are all harsher and more beneficial to your position than you truly expect the final agreement to be because you know that there’s going to be a negotiation where you compromise to various things. He refused to negotiate and kicked the offer sheet back to them entirely rather than doing what any other party does in negotiating and redlining your version of the agreement to kick back and continue negotiating in good faith. And after claiming he wouldn’t negotiate he countered about the money he wanted because he saw their initial offer to be a lowball. He probably thought he could get a higher dollar offer elsewhere and when he didn’t get that offer he came back three months later with his phone call taking up principled reasons that weren’t even true. And for a minute he was trying to start his own thing and then he ended up signing to rumble and gave them all the shit that DW was going to get if he’d signed their agreement. And he sure isn’t getting the money he told DW he wanted considering rumble is losing tens of millions of dollars, can only monetize him through his mug club thing, and the revenue rumble does and his mug club subscribers do didn’t sniff the $37.5M he countered with nor does it cover the $12.5M DW was offering to him.

It's not comparable. NFL contracts give a player x amount of dollars for w years. Of that x amount, y is guaranteed; even if, released. If a player plays out all the years of their contract; even if, they are injured in all of them, then they get paid the full x amount. NFL players want all of x guaranteed; even if, they do not play the final years of the contract due to less than expected performance. Crowder gets it all guaranteed. He just gets fined for underperformance based on DW expectations. Putting a youtube demonetization clause in Crowder's contract is comparable to the 49ers giving a contract to Kaepernic saying he would be fined 25% of each game check everytime he knelt during the National Anthem. Yes, Kaepernic does not have to kneel during the National Anthem, but it would totally destroy his brand.

He also mentioned that DW walked away when Crowder told them that he felt he should be getting paid $30M a year for his show. And they walked away because they said they couldn’t pay that much to him and that they were so far apart they knew it was done. He slso mentioned how Crowder couldn’t even tell him how many subscribers his mug club even had to make a case for what revenue he’d even earn them.

Not that it matters, but the 50 mil is over 4 years. That's why they were saying if he had a 5 mil operating budget a year hed pocket 7 mil.
