This is such a good video. Simultaneously awfully presented and insanely engaging. He's got this strange persona which is insanely self deprecating and self doubting but then also strangely arrogant in places? He's the most engaging enigma in this whole industry haha. Absolutely love his stuff
From what I understand of the guy, it’s crippling anxiety and massive imposter syndrome thinly masked by attempts to mitigate that via brags about stuff he’s done.
For someone that's done so much, he hasn't really done anything. Yet he doesn't realize that he's been out there having a life that most anyone would envy... He's got good friends, passion and an interesting way of talking/writing. Some just don't have any of those.
I predict with confidence that the Tim Rogers “success” story is far from over. And I would pay good money that I earned at my dismal little job, for the opportunity to read any one of those “bad” novels.
@@G_Rez It's one of many things that he seems to be working on, but between the exhaustively excellent Action Button Reviews and Truck Heck, and especially Not Dying from the handful of ailments he usually suffers from, he has a lot on his plate. But whatever he releases I will gladly pay for.
Fantastic PERFORMANCE by Tim. Been a big fan since he published an article on Kotaku about ‘sticky’ game physics and Mario. This is art. Tim please never stop creating.
I truly believe, that he wants to believe, that hes the man. He has some self worth/confidence issues, (that he mentions in other videos) that are firmly rooted in his childhood. I hope he gets his million dollars for TRUCKHECK and can truly create his visions!
Is this how Tim speaks in his everyday life? Ramble on about minute details from his past, and then repeat and paraphrase the same point over and over again in that monotonous, ponderous, hypnotic voice? Cuz I can't imagine what it must be like to be one of his friends or family members.
I’m sorry to be the one to break the news to you buddy... but many, many, many, many, many other human beings through out the annals of human history have said “first”.....
@@Puppy_Puppington I understand, pal. I probably should have commented “first person to say first in this comment section.” Thank you for reminding me, have a nice day.
