This is my second go at this song. I did an arrangement of this a few years ago, and I still like the arrangement, but I find that great songs just want to be visited often, and experienced in new ways.
Putting this video together today, I pondered the concept of time and of change. Just like my arrangement has changed, so have I over the years. I've grown from seeing music as a solitary experience, to having a deeper understanding of how it connects people. As I play, I'm connected to the songwriter, and to the audience, and as I share what I do, and how I do it, I'm connected to not only the now, but also to what is to come.
I made a slide show of sorts with this video showing me playing guitar through the years...from being musician to mentor; from giver and back to receiver again. That's what the gift is for...to give away. Funny thing about gifts; the more you give, the more you have...to give. I've seen my gifting flow out, and come back 100 fold, and I hope this video communicates that a little. Be safe and be blessed; protect where you can, and BE a blessing.
