TIME CAPSULE 2002 HONDA VTX1800 

Hey Senior, I bought that bike brand new and O2. My dad wrote it about two blocks and you’re the only other person that I would let ride my bike. I hope you enjoy. I miss that bike dearly. I wish I still had it.

Those are absolutely torque monsters. They feel really heavy just off the kickstand but at 1 mph, they are perfectly weightless !!!!

I run an 05 1800r, its got 6 k miles on it. All stock. Really enjoy it, picked it up last summer from the original owner, with all Hondaline accessories.

Sr. This is a 1800 C ... C stands for custom ... Nice 2002 VTX bike for sure ... Few nice touches added i see, but done very tasteful ,1st year made for this model ...(( Wish Honda still made them )) . Myself i have a 2003 VTX 1800C Uranium Green , 6300 miles ... Vance & Hines Exhaust stock seat 0 miles on that seat, 2 Cobin seats for this sexy 1800 ... Popcorn valve removed just not deleted ... Power Comander 5 ... Baron custom side pin up air cleaner very hard to find ... All maintence tip top ... I added all the chrome you can get back then aftermarket front headlight small deflector and bottom I added a chin spoiler all painted color as the bike ... Plus the gears off the VTX1300 , lowers the rpms all the way threw now 80 mph feels like 65 in rpms ... Tell yea what love the power of this bike and runs like a v-rod right now for time to distance. Once again nice bike you wont have any problems selling this GEM ! .

Shiny and brand new looking. Sounds good and throaty. Not too loud. The loudest bike I rode was a 6 cylinder Honda with 6 straight pipes. Lol. It was fun to rev and hear I must admit.

So many stories of them going 200k miles with just regular maintenance. Even heard a story of one going 462k miles! Greatest V-Twin ever made. Great video!

Are we all just going to ignore the fact that Kaplan Cycles puts a battery tender lead on every bike they service? 😂🙏👍🏼 One of their custom trademarks and you couldn't ask for a better one. I never realized how nice/important they were until I bought Sr's personal Gas-Gas and went looking for the battery. Thank God he had a tender lead on there for me. 🙏🙏☝️☝️ What a beautiful machine and lets everybody give a big thumbs up for the battery tender leads.... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅

That is one badass bike, that has lots of power and torque for it's size. The racing speed specs on it are quite impressive. The Zonners were very nice people, with a highly impressive motorcycle collection. They really took great care of their motorcycles. All about protecting and taking great care of your investment.

Oh wow 😮 I've always ridden Honda's, Suzuki, and Harley.... Something about the vtx has always had me wanting to ride one 😊

Always loved these. I Feel like Suzuki tried copying with the M109r but those transmissions always seem to have issues unfortunately. Built in Ohio at a time when electronics were complimentary to the equipment and not full of canbus is why I liked them, great look an great power. If you don't like the sound it's a simple as adding cams with a different lobe separation angle and maybe a bit more lift and retune. I remember the marketing was pistons bigger than a 426 hemi and valves bigger than in a p-51 Mustang.

i had a 2004 VTX 1800 with the spoked wheels. Put some whitewalls on that thing and some choice add ons and man what a bike!!!

Pretty bike Ken , but I just can’t get past the funky Honda Vtwin sound 😟 I personally will take my Yamaha Roadstar with the pipes I have on it , or a Stratoliner with a nice set of pipes and they both are belt drive ( just can’t do Shaft drive ) To me they both just kill the VTX . But congrats again on picking up another pristine bike and thanks for rescuing all the bikes that you guys do and getting them back on the road . I really love and respect you guys for what you do👍👏🙏❤️

I had a F3 with power commander and freedom 2-1 exhaust 110 hp/110tq was a fun machine!

I wanted one of these so bad when they came out. But just out of high school. Could not afford.

I have a vtx1800f , a vtx 1300c, a cvo street glide and a gsxr1000 and I find myself always choosing my vtx1800. Will never get rid of that bike. The Vance and Hines with the hypercharger sounds amazing. Two up 90mph all day😊

My 04 vtx c1800 same bike you have the bore size is the size of a 426 hemi and it has abs brakes you can grab the front and back same time will not lock up iv been 120 and still pulling

What is up with the orange Harley Davidson that starts to become visible at 1:39 and then you can pause it at 1:42 and get a good look? Every time I see that thing when I come up there, or in a video I just love the look of that bike and drooool!!!. Is that for sale or display only? What a dumb question… You guys are the Kaplans. I had a new one in 2001 and loved the bike but the motor sounded like a bubble maker. its to bad they didnt do a 2 valve motor like yamaha did,yamahas sound more like a harley

I miss my 02 man that thing went through back tires like a hungry alligator . Sounds like he cut the rear baffle out of that stock pipe.
