Time Crisis is one of the biggest sources of 90's video game nostalgia for me.
I never played the arcade version before, but we used to have the PlayStation version that also came with the NAMCO light gun called the G-con (or Gun-Con) .
In this video I play the Arcade version of Time Crisis on the Steam Deck, using the gyro motion controls to act as a light gun. It feels really great, and plays WAY better than witha regular controller. I would even go as far as saying it feels better than mouse as light gun.

Mind blown! One of my favs on the PS1. I was even thinking of getting a light gun to use with the steamdeck to play this. I might still do but awesome to have the option to use Gyro. Thanks again!

I believe that anything that benefits from a mouse would benefit from gyro, and lightgun and on-rail games like these are an example of that.

It honestly plays better with Batocera since you can use the Sinden Lightgun on it

Thanks, it works well with the Gyro ! Very reactive to shoot 👍 For some reasons, Gyro didn't activate in game with "lightgun mode = none", when I put "lightgun mode = touchscreen" and after restart touch the right pad, it activates the Gyro on retroarch (v16.0) 🤨
