The remnants of Tropical Storm Hilary brew over the Las Vegas Valley on Sunday as residents prepare for heavy rain. Video from Channel 13's STRAT camera showed the storm's progression throughout the day.
I live in Vegas and we got .98" inches of rain. (That's less than an inch.) And the hurricane could not have brought better weather. Lower temperatures (68-80 degrees down from 100+), much needed rain and our streets have finally been cleaned. I hope that this is the beginning of more hurricanes or monsoons for the summers out here. We can really use the temperature and rain relief
The kcal news channel reported lies ( it’s bringing 4, inches ) they gave false information and put people in a panic now we will never take them seriously. They wanted views fully knowing it was bs! The real threat was only for Baja and they decided to lie to get views😡 they proved themselves to be fake hype 🤡🤦🏼♂️
Stupid news channels from California saying it would bring 4, inches of water, it didn’t even go past one inch. People had to get ready just Incase but it was just a big lie. I took them seriously 😒
@@isaiahromero9861no but they could at least say something to the effect, that it’s might not be as bad as we anticipate but better safe than not to be safe…
You would think with technology we’d be better at predicting the effects of a storm. They really did a great job of creating fear for what appears to be no reason.
That's because you can't fully predict what a storm may or may not do. They can change paths, suddenly become more or less dangerous, and so on. There is still a very good reason for getting people worried about a potential hurricane hitting their homes.
@@isaiahgeorge906 good point. My only gripe is that over the years it appears that meteorologists have become less accurate while technology has improved
Actually in response to the other person’s reply: it’s to generate more views for the stations. That’s it. Yes you can prepare the population but you’re TOTALLY right. The tech is good enough now for these systems to not have to incite panic five days out. Yet they do so in order to generate as much views as possible for money. It’s their only time the most viewers tune in. It’s just good business to overhype this.
True, but they shouldn’t report fake warnings we literally took them for being some what honest? Now every time I see the kcal news anchors I get 😡 ~ then there was a small earth quake and some dumb reporter actually said it lasted 20, seconds? They are desperate for attention, now it’s not just half truths it’s just false reporting. This isn’t state of emergency Lombardo is drunk.
These morons got us to believe Noah’s flood was about to happen, we see more rain during monsoon season. Jeez these lying dirt bags! I’m not watching any kcal news from now on ~ I was warning people left and right. Then a few sprinkles happened.
