These videos are just amazing, I hardly remember any of the old Christchurch Buildings as I was born in 2003 which makes me sad because I would have loved to have seen some of those magnificent looking buildings. Awesome job as always mate, keep it up. I also have a video suggestion idea, maybe you should do a timeline and history of some of the older buildings and high-rises in Christchurch. Just a thought.

Yeah I wish they had tried to invest into fixing a lot of the buildings even if it was less economical to retain some of the city's history and architecture and keep it still Christchurch not demolish it all and rebuild an entire new city and expect it to be the same. I am defintley going to make some large video's on christchurch high rises and archtiecture, but im trying to cover every other city first as I am kind of saving it for The best for last type thing, as I will invest a ton of time into the video and make it as good as possible (as I am from Chch), I am planning to do a top 25 current tallest in CHCH, 25 tallest before the earthquakes (although getting the images for that may be hard for some of the less prominent buildings) and also maybe a history of oldest high rises or history of the tallest building :). Pacifica is actually taller then Commercial Bay at 180.2m . Pacifica architectural diagrams clearly show it at 181.35m. Apparently council measured it to the highest inhabitable floor at 178m but with the plant room it takes it to 181.35m total and is currently the tallest building in NZ .Seacscape on Customs St. will be 187m when finally built in 2 years. Yeah I can see what you are saying, It could be taller its just really hard to find one source that gives overwhelming evidence for 181M when most others even though it may be wrong list it at 178M. I may do a revised version of this video In future at I realized I misse out Wellingtons 1934, 45M MLC Buildings and Aucklands 1962 50.5M skyscraper. And then seascape will be completed and The Pacifica may have been 100% proved higher (when the new google earth 3D models come out at some point that will prove it once and for all).
The sky tower is the tallest in NZ, but following Emporis standards which is what I base my video data off its an Observation tower not a building as less then 50% of its height is inhabitated. It is defintley the tallest structure though.
