When I was in high school my best friend and I stayed up all night, the next day we were giggling because of the lack of sleep, when I said I wanted to sleep my friend told me that “sleep is for the weak”, we laughed and now we say it all the time even though we love to sleep! And nap.
In college my siblings and I bought a mobile home to live in. The note and lot rent was much cheaper than paying the university, plus we still had the trailer, er mobile home later. As the others graduated and moved on we added roommates. The wall were thin and not sound proof. I gave the largest room to one of the roomies because it was the very "front" off of the living room for reasons soon to be apparent. I took the room at the very back adjacent to the bath. So, one winter I'm watching TV in the living room and roomie has his (current) girlfriend over. During a lull in the sound from the show I clearly hear him, "but it gets smaller when it's cold." I tried not to, I really did. I held my breath, but I snorted, then just fell off the couch laughing. I then heard, "thanks a lot m-f'er." Apparently directed at me for some reason. For the longest time I would make my eyes big and give him a sad puppy look and say "but it gets smaller when it's cold." And crack up. I know, I'm going to hell.
