Review of the Timex Fly-Back Chronograph. Model TW2R55000. IT has a black stainless steel case, black dial, and matching black mesh bracelet. A bold stealthy design.

I have this watch in the green dial with the orange retrograde subdials (even more striking than this one, but not for everybody), bought it about 2 months ago. I love this watch! I bought an orange 2 piece canvas strap which, with the orange subdials, really pops! I don’t remember you’re mentioning it has a 100m WR which is pretty nice. Great travel watch with 2 time zones and 100m WR! I highly recommend it!

Haha! Lean into that mic, brother man! Great review, even aside from the smooooooooth jazz outro. I like the short format. Your editing skills made a sub-5 minute vid seem far from incomplete, packing a lot of info and visuals into the time you had. Well done!

HA! The next one I just made a bunch of puns for the last 20 seconds. I came very close to reading Wiliam Shatner song lyrics after that. But I started getting some subscribers, so I backed off on that. I was experimenting making short bare bones just descriptions, and almost no personal commentary. But I never got much feedback, on them. Eventually they started getting longer. Thanks again.

I've got this same watch but in black and beige. Great watch. I also have just about each model of the time, temp, tide, compass as well. Also a Flyback with a compass. The linear chronograph is a well designed looking watch as well.

love timex,have 3 vintage 1976-78 hand winding and automatic versions all white dials and black band.38 mm dial.love the small to medium dials don't care for over 40mm dials.,

The Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chrono was a watch I really wanted for a while, but never pulled the trigger on. They never had the exact model that I wanted (T2N700, black case, black watch face, gold font) at the local Timex store, or at other watch stores, and I wasn't willing to pay a premium to get it. Alas, it ended up being one of the ones that got away from me. That said, I've yet to check for deals on the secondary market. Maybe I'll have a better chance now. EDIT: Welp, I finally got one. Paid about 52 pounds and about the same amount to have it express shipped. But even with the shipping price it still only cost less than half as much as it did when I saw it brand new at the Timex store. Quite happy with it.

Are you still happy with it? I've seen lots of comments criticising Timex watches for poor reliability (some even got a broken crown after a while).

The Tinex watches are simply inexpensive and under an 80.00 dollar limit , they're only on my wrist for the simple reason too keep ahead of time !

Very nice watch and review. Just wondering what's the difference between this one and T2N700 except for the strap?

Thanks for watching. Looking at the T2N700, it looks identical. So I'm pretty sure it's just a different strap. Same as TW2R54900, which again same case, different strap. Basically if it says Flyback-chronograph. Its the same watch, just different dials, and colors.

I've read comments that the battery is NOT user replaceable. Any ideas?

Not sure. I don't have it anymore, but I would doubt it. Timex usually doesn't do that. Where did you see the comments?

I'm going crazy trying to find the instruction manual for my Timex T2P381 Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chronograph Watch. Cant even find it on the Timex websites. Mine looks like yours but has a green inside face. Where can I find the manual?

In retrospect I should have. When I made this I was experimenting with slightly different formats. I was trying to go for a leaner shorter video. Basicly everything you need, with minimal fluff. Seeing if that improved audience retention. My latest videos I've kind of gone the opposite direction. Thanks for watching, and commenting. Always good to get feedback.

No worries. I thoroughly enjoyed the video and it was well shot and edited. Also I found it informative for someone looking to buy this watch. I'm actually looking to buy it, not to wear, but to make a video describing the flyback chronograph function. It is a rare and oftentimes confused function with the snap back to 0 that mechanical chronographs.

My phone won't let me respond, but you responded to my text about the Armitron strap replacement. Armitron has a piece in the middle, so you can't use a regular band or strap. I called them and they said they don't have replacement. Never buy another Armitron!

Sorry. I don't have this specific watch anymore, so can't tell you what battery you need. Normally you pop the caseback off to see and replace it. It's pretty easy to do, but harder to get back on. So if your not sure how watch some videos on it.

Well, the only thing I can say is that I made this almost 2 years ago. There is a learning curve and a process for figuring out how to do them, and I wasn't quite there yet. Yet some still like it.
