What happen to today’s black America especially the women all that aggressive talk makes them look manly so unattractive but these women are the real black Americans clean respectful and feminine, don’t come for me I’m African only giving sisterly luv
I suppose during that period in Ms. Tina's life performing on a stage acted as a cathartic release or an escape of sorts from all the stress and trauma she was enduring at home.
@@tajmahal8472 I thought the same many abused people use work to cling to as adifferent scene from the abuse. I guess by the time she walked out after 15 years her strength to keep doing both gone and it is usually the time when abused people do leave the relationship on average
Lots of abuse victims get isolated so having a career and a public image probably helped her escape. Working was good for her self esteem too that's why some abusive husband's don't want their victims working either they are so controlling.
That's because women are Goddesses & Queens. Without us there is NO LIFE! Religion taught us that we are nothing when we are EVERYTHING AND EVERTHING comes from us. Go Goddesses. You are superior to any male! That's why they abuse us with their physical power. Toxic men can't touch you when you know your are a Goddess and you don't need them. Men need us ❤
I love how this video feels like it was recorded very recently. Showing these ladies in their prime and very relatable. Shows you how time sensitive life is. We are all young and jovial at some point. These women are sooo grown now.
It's just so weird thinking these young, vibrant, and focused people are in their 70's and 60's. I've always been curious to see my family members pasts, I wish there was video of it. I wanna know who they were before me.
The fact that she created all of her dance moves straight from scratch. And executed them exceptionally well each live performance. That is why they called her the hardest working woman in show business of her day
She also did all of her own wigs herself, she said in an interview. She always had and did for as long as she was performing, I believe! That is also just such an undertaking when you have so many other things to remember. Usually, people are getting their hair and makeup done for them, and they can be reviewing their choreography/lines or something during. Or even just take that time to rest up!!! Not this woman! She did it herself, and thats why nothing looked off the shelf on her. It wasn't... she would make things her own and rock it!! There's nothing she couldn't do in my mind! Same with Dolly in a similar (but obviously different) way. 🩷
@@jakemiles1427u do it n heels then? 🤨 As a matter of fact they were NEW 2 the public eyes @ the time nd YES elevate the craft. But u CANNOT make it seems like they were BORING nd simply. Even Beyoncé has given Tina Turner her flowers. 💋
Just think if we had footage of 1800's, 1700's,,,and earlier. My bet is that it would be the same concept. It would blow people's minds to see folks in the 1600's and how similar they probably were.
Yesss.. I'm still this live and creative. Maybe because I don't have any social medias & staying in tune with God. Us as his apparatus in allowing ourselves to be used and that appropriation.
Choreography at its finest! They didn’t need choreographers in those days. Because people were multitalented. Not the puppets that the artists of today are.
I doesn’t bother me much if musicians can’t dance because that’s not why I’m a fan of a musician. No disrespect to you or your opinion, it’s just not a personal consideration for me. I will say this. I’m not a professional singer but I’ve been in choir and bands for almost 30 years now and for me it’s terribly sad what’s happened to singing. There is still really great music out there being produced all the time. And wonderful singers who continue to impress. But there are tons of singers who can’t sing at all. Not a lick. They don’t need to thanks to autotune. You go to their concerts and it’s huge disappointment because you yourself sang better at nine in your first church choir.
You think people can't dance now..? I am confused. Why are you insulting artists of today.. Beyonce can't dance? lady gaga Can't dance? I think you are totally out of touch with reality.
Damn Tina was a real sista back in the day. "Hey! Jean y'all go up cuz me and pookie commin back see" lmao. The way she says "Jean need to see it cuz she don't know what to do." She knew she was the queen! Good ole 70's
@Milagros B. "You said heared".. But ilk himself never said that. However he did admit to hitting her. He also admitted that he was on drugs hard so he couldn't control himself. People want her to be at fault so bad. You can go watch his interviews.
I fell in love with Tina when I was 11 and she has never stopped to amaze me with her incredible energy and presence. A wonderful woman, artist, and entertainer :)
I love this!!! This wasn't a machine. This was real, raw, uncut talent from the roots of the soul. They were so insync with their vocals and choreography. Not to meantion they had stamina!!!
No choreographer , they created their own dances! This is better than any of todays concerts! That says a lot ! They need to do documentary about the Ikettes! I would watch it!
I truly believe that every human being is blessed with their "niche". Some know what it is right away and some mat need a little more time....I remember was a preteen me and my bestie tried to make dance routines, practicing to the latest MC Hammer, Salt-n-Pepa, etc. That's when I learned that dancing is something I shouldn't try to make a successful career. I see Tina and the Ikettes getting it down packed while donning wigs in the dressing room. I will always admire their talent overload. Me? I needed a whole weekend.
Im the same way about drawing & painting lol Its just something I’m not remotely good at,like mentally there’s no coordination there. Making up steps/dances is also something some ppl can just get🫰🏾while others just forget the entire count everytime.
Negro please....prince and many other celebrities don't wabt abybody speaking or touching them before they perform or backstage.....so stop reaching......
They just glowed and flowed together for the good. They stood by Tina cause God knew that's who and what she needed to survive. The Most High had it in check. Creator work!
I think the whole world is mourning this loss. Much respect to this beautiful lady and her co-singers. Saw her during Thunderdome tour. Rest in beautiful peace, beautiful lady.
This is super interesting to watch the process of these well-experienced professionals figuring out a dance routine. This was shot on very early small-format videotape.
LOVE it! Tina was always so professional, focused, hard working and down to earth - she hasn't even nearly reached her prime here - that would come many years later, as a solo superstar. Tina Turner was always a 'girls girl' who chose to have other, attractive women onstage with her. She was never threatened by other women - that is the mark of a quality human being, who knows her own worth and recognises that surrounding yourself with excellence onstage, only reflects well on you and elevates your talent. When Tina entered her glorious 40s and 50s as a solo artist (without doubt her glory years), she regularly featured a troupe of gorgeous much younger female backing dancers. And those young women loved her - one who performed with her in her stadium tours wrote a very moving tribute to her when she died, thanking her for her kindness and support and remembering the experience with such joy. It said so much about the lovely person Tina was. God bless her - a true star and a class act, on and off stage. I'm so glad she met the love of her life in her mid 40s, after her abusive marriage to Ike, and had the wisdom to go out at the top. After her many decades of performing, Tina fully deserved her wonderful retirement with her husband in beautiful Switzerland.
This is a wonderful thing to hear and see them soooo young an ladies with dreams and goals working out the steps together getting ready for the world ..wow it's magical ✨..
I remember as a little girl my mother would flip through the channels. I would see her on t.v. I holla at momma, that's Tina! That's Tina Turner!! I just love Your energy , Your heart and soul in the music. You were back then and still is music today.
Truly practice makes perfect. Tina Turner’s every success is a testament to the discipline and reward of practice (ing). “If you’re not on stage, you’re getting ready to go on stage.” Ike Turner from “ What’s Love Got to Do with It” movie.
