Well done 👏 I love that you also have to change things last minute but you show us that. Personally I’d go for a lovely stencil pattern on the floor to bring some bold pattern into the space but it’s looking fantastic 😍👏👏👏

I love how the bathroom turned out. I like the idea of dapping the floor like the sink maybe a little darker not to bold its small room the floor doesn't need to be the focal point the decor will do that

Good save on the bathroom! I’m going to be the odd one, according to the comments I have read already, and say to go for the travertine look on the floor as well! I think it will be far more simple to do and to touch up if that is needed down the road, and a more timeless look. However, it is YOUR home and you know what would bring you the most joy. :-) Thank you for sharing your painting adventures. I have a brush in my hand more days than I don’t. 😁

I agree with you also... that bold stencil look is pretty for a while, but I can see people getting sick of it soon. I know I would! But again, if you love it... that is all that really matters!

I concur. My first thought was touch ups/maintenance of the floor. I also think a bold pattern may be too much in smaller space.

I would go with a travertine on the floor. A stencil in that small space would be overwhelming.

I absolutely love when you show us stuff that doesn’t work out the first time because many times when you’re working on a project what you have in mind is not what you end up with at all. I love to watch your thought process. It’s wonderful thank you so much for sharing us, and it looks so much better.!

Thank you for caring that the whites match. And thanks for the real approach in saying the contact paper didn’t work. Renovations take time and so many video are “it’s just so simple” when it’s actually a journey. As always, lovely color sense and taste.

That was a BRILLIANT recovery plan. I would paint the floor the same as the counter. Then the two horizontal surfaces would match. I love that travertine look. I also think the black interior door is smart.

Looks great, clean and fresh! The countertop looks super. Personally, I'd never paint the floor, too many issues with maintenance in a wet room. Rather why not warm the walls up ever so slightly so the floor doesn't seem like the odd man out. Still works withe the overall scheme.

Peel and stick floor tiles until you decide? I'm one for pattern design on the floor even though that travertine look on the countertop turned out lovely! The tub and surround looked like a neutral/cool almond on camera. If so, then it's not that bad especially now with the dark cabinet and door and travertine countertop. To elevate it and create an even more cohesive look, I would replace the showered with a brushed nickel as well. What a beautiful transformation!!! I'm actually getting ready to paint our house, starting with the trim, baseboards, and doors, and also means bathroom cabinets will be the same color and I have been literally thinking to myself, "what would Katie do?" and here's today's video! Serendipitous! As ever, your work is beautiful. Congratulations on your new home! Can't wait to see what you do with the kitchen cabinets as I have those to do too... eventually.

I think a bold stenciled design on the floor with the soft white base color and black used for stencil would be great with the black vanity and door. The vanity looks amazing, so you can't go wrong with doing it again on the floor, but neither would stand out. Whatever you do just make sure you seal the floor well. I sealed my tiled sunroof with 5 layers of water based poly. 4 years later it still looks great.

A beautiful little room, very refreshing scheme after all the stops and starts. (FYI, a small detail--I've found when hanging a picture, it really helps to use two nails a couple of inches apart--as long as they're absolutely level, they'll keep your framed picture level.)

Wonderful job bringing all these colour elements & textures together 👏 For me, I think doing the travertine look on the floor will bring things together perfectly. It's a small space & can easily be overwhelmed with patterns & imho cause a disconnect. Sometimes simplicity is soothing.

Nothing like doing your usual meticulous prep and painting, then deciding it won't work. Oww! But it was the right decision, as I was envisioning somebody laying a flat iron on the counter. That blue was so pretty, bummed that it didn't as well as you thought in that bathroom. However, the black is so modern and chic and really made the bathroom look really put together especially with the black accents. The final product looked sooo good! I'm glad you keep the trial and error in your videos, its just so realistic to have an idea not turn out exactly as planned. I think I would just paint the tile versus doing a stencil. Every stencil that I've seen people do just makes the floor super busy and you've set up that bathroom to be really calm and inviting.

Wow - it turned out great! When you first said you didn't know what to do with the floor, I said, "Paint and stencil!" So, I was happy to hear it's a contender. I think the countertop finish is just enough, doing the floor with it also would be too much in the little space. I stenciled a fireplace and it turned out great.

Hi Kaitie …. Wow, so glad you didn’t go with the original pale blue, not only did the lack of natural light change the impact but the amount of almondy-white did as well!! The black looks great! Also the door painted back as well! Delicious! Because you have stripes in there I would go with a travertine look but with mostly black adding in some brown, camel, cream and white flecks! Love all the black accessories as well! Great as always …. You are my hero Kaitie! How’s the beach?!

Such a great improvement and it looks like low cost too. One mini suggestion: I changed my shower curtain rail from silver to black and I could not believe how it elevated the look of the whole room. Also, I know it sounds unconventional, but I also installed a black toilet seat with chrome hinges and it delivered the wow factor. Although patterned floors are beautiful, it might be too much in that small room.

Really fun transformation. I love the process of change along the way as one thing doesn't work or comes out differently than planned and the ease with which you shift into a new plan. Inspires me to create in my home and flip too! I like the pops of green in the final that offset the b/w scheme. Maybe you've done the floor already, but my vote is something that plays off the sink surround. Great job!
