First, I’m so very sorry to hear about your mom. I just lost my mom to cancer in May so I understand how hard that diagnosis can be. Family & our own health & well being always comes first, but it’s good to have you back! I recently moved to Sussex from Ontario (I grew up in the area) so I was thrilled to see you paid our quaint little town a visit! I didn’t make it to the flea market this year, so it was great to see a glimpse of it from you. Can’t wait to see what you do with the cabinet you bought.

I'm a lymphoma survivor, and sincerely hope your Mom is taking care and dealing well with her treatment. I'm in my 70s and was stage 3, but I came through, and I'm sending best wishes to your Mom and your family. Never apologise for putting your loved ones first. We are still here when you feel you can return to filming more often, at your own pace and volition. Hugs, stay safe. 🫂 xxx

How fun was that? Except of course the news about your mom. Hope she’s receiving the care she needs. You deserve time with your boys and husband, nothing more important! Loved the flea market adventure. Found myself talking to the screen “stop…get that, you could make it beautiful”. Saw many things my mom and grandmother had in their kitchens. Made me laugh when you saw the wicker tray thingy “I want that…that, I want that”. 🤣 My mom sold wicker in the 1970’s and our house was full of things like that, furniture made of wicker, baskets everywhere….you name it. If it could be made of wicker, we had it. You would have loved it. Anyway….Glad you’re back making content again. Thoroughly enjoyed it. But, gravy & cheese on fries? 🤐😉

Wonderful to see a video from you again and happy to know you prioritized some family time and self care. Major moves can take a toll. I heard the Sussex flea market was huge...had family members go to it too. They said the treasures and stories from vendors were incredible. Had planned to be moved to NB by the market date but didn't happen yet...soon though.

I feel for you. My mom beat cancer three times, years before she finally passed away from dementia. A lot of content creators have taken the summer off to enjoy the season, especially in the snow belt. Wishing you all the best ❤️

I'm sorry Katie to hear about ur mom. I lost my mom in 2017 to a brain tumor. Mom's are special. Take video's to hear her voice. I did the week before she passed so I could hear her voice once she was gone. I just wished I could hear her again. One day I will see her in heaven. Thanks for taking us along on ur flea market. I enjoy flea markets...u never know what u shall find. Can't wait to see what u do to the piece you purchased. Good to have u back. 💙💙💙💙💙💙

Take care of your mom! I usually hate to post anything personal but here goes! My mom had a mild pneumonia, after a bout of legionnaires disease 20 yers before, not horrific but the doctor said he wanted her on it antibiotics for a couple of days. Dropped her off at the hospital and went to get her some pajamas. They called as I was walking out of the door. My mother died at 61, choking on phlegm that had collected under that legionnaires scar in her lung. My dad had died the year before! I was devastated!!! They were great parents and never got to know their grandkids!! My grandchildren have 4 sets of amazing grandparents now, that’s several other stories… but cherish every day you have with your parents because they can’t be replaced!!!

Katie, if i'm remembering correctly, I saw a YT video where a carpenter took a large board and cut it in strips to get the warp out then glued it back together. the boards can also be wet down and heavy objects sat on them. He was able to run it through his planer too. Like I said, I'm not for sure and don't remember who it was. I always say I'm gonna remember and don't. P. S. Glad you're back.

On one hand, it's your private life, so I do feel it is kind of a shame that you feel you have to explain where you've been... but at the same time, I totally understand that you want to let us know where you've been... plus, I missed you and your videos and was worried about how you and your family were, so it is very reassuring to hear from you, even if it is not very good news. I am sending your mum all my positive thoughts and wishes and hope that things improve for her very soon, and I wish you and your family strength and courage in dealing with her illness. Thank you for sharing your trip to the flea market, and of course do look after yourself too - even if that means we have to do without your lovely videos for the moment.
