It is a beautiful door. Great that you could rework it Illia, and make it fit the frame👍🏻. The window design is very special. Your prepping and painting was gorgeous as well Marina👏🏻. The little house will be ready before winter, I’m sure🙏🏻

really neat looking door! yay for correct measurements. it's all water tight now which is perfect since it is fall. I had voted for a sept finish but I'm obviously wrong. new vote is Dec

We like the deep blue color. The project is coming out fantastic. Tip for refinishing old doors: Sometimes, it doesn't take any longer to remove all the hardware, such as door knobs and locks, striker plates, and latches, than masking. However, regardless of the time it takes, it is always a better end product removing and reinstalling vs. masking. Especially if changing colors or finishes. It is always the painters' choice in what works best for your situations. Thanks

What a quaint door. I've never a door with those types of windows. The paint looks really good for just one coat. It's all coordinating so nicely. Can't wait to see the house siding.

You found an inexpensive door and turned it into a lovely source of pride. Not sure if you saw it during editing but the exterior area under the threshold needs sealing to keep air and bugs out. Knowing the thorough quality work you do I'm betting it's already sealed. You two are due for a beer tasting excursion. 👍👍👍

They’re planning on living in it (one, or both, of the kids?? The Caravan isn’t big enough for all of them to live in) while the renovations on the farmhouse continue.

For caulking, I really recommend Cramer silicone profiling kits. I got kit number 7 for the cutting tool, which is brilliant. It makes caulking so easy and smooth. Wish I'd bought the kit decades ago.

All the tools, and hand protection with gloves, but you still had to use your bare hands. Also the door looks great, original Tardis blue from Dr.Who! Brilliant!!

I think that if you take the blue you used for the windows then "mixed up" a lighter batch it would make an excellent colour for the concrete "band" or "beams" that wrap around the rooms. It would help tie the colours outside and inside together. Besides that though I am loving the look for this. It's coming together nicely! Great practice too for the main house when you get back to it to do the finishing. I feel like one day I will open a video of yours and you will be building an immense koi farm size grow out area for the koi, surrounded deeply with floral accents and life. Lol
