Thanks for covering all the methods, though I believe you have some terminology backwards. Depth of field refers to the amount of the image that's in focus, so bringing up the f-stop to f/8 INCREASES the depth of field (percentage in focus goes up), while bringing it down to f/2 DECREASES the depth of field. Focus vs. Out of Focus. It's much like opacity and transparency in that they are 2 sides of the same concept. This is just a nit. I have no doubt you will always know more about the ins-and-outs of C4D than I ever will. Thanks.

Yes. They work in Standard, Physical, Redshift and many 3rd party renderers.

Guys, you'd better fix Boolean operations in Cinema 4d! The program has been released for 30 years, boolean operations are just at a disgusting level. :(
@daemoriazy8751
@daemoriazy8751 3 года назад
What's your issue with them? Provided you're building the geometry in a way that actually makes sense, you're not going to have problems with booleans. my workflow heavily relies on them, and i have basically no problems with them

You have to enable DOF for every renderer separately.

Whenever I use the focus option I have to pull down the F-stop value under 1. How it works with 8 in this case?
@Havealot
@Havealot 3 года назад
Like with a real world camera it depends on the size of the scene you have in frame.
@MaxonVFX
@MaxonVFX 3 года назад
As Sebastian already mentioned, scene scale is playing a big role here. Once you model objects in real world scale, you can work with realistic f-stop values. I f you have to go below 1, your scene scale is too big.
@muratz1
@muratz1 3 года назад
@@MaxonVFX I always try to work with C4D default scene and around primitive object sizes. Next time I'll try to scale my scene into real world size. It could help if you say so. Thanks.
