I read a lot of Drucker's books in early in my career. I think it takes a certain amount of time and cross-referencing his ideas to get a better grasp of where Drucker is coming from. He is dry, academically he's a trained economist. I have to agree with Stig on this one, Drucker is not saying to ignore people who will fail during ethical dilemmas, those should be removed. He goes into substantial detail about that issue in other books. He is definitely saying help that kind of person work around any perceived deficiencies [Einstein was dyslexic] and specialize in the strengths and delegate the tasks that involve weaknesses.. It's tied to the idea of know thy time. You guys are great at valuing companies and would make your business way more money choosing selections for investing. It would be an unwise use of your time 2 sharpen the blades of the lawn mower and cut the grass and weed eat and blow the leaves and grass clippings off. Your overall gain would be tremendously higher doing investing while paying someone 50 bucks to handle that for you. I'm fairly certain that's the heart of what he's saying. I think people who want to get a broader view of Peter Drucker's views should look at The Best of Drucker. That's the name of the book it's several hundred pages long and it uses an excerpt format. I really enjoyed Drucker early in my career as it helped expand my mind increase my vocabulary and force me to think about ideas that I hadn't considered, but I will admit in addition to being a bit dry many of his ideas are very ambiguous. Even philosophical at times. At any rate I hope someone gleans something useful from this former Drucker nerd.

Paul McGhee Thank you for your comment. Do you read several books a month? I'm a slow reader but try to apply what I'm learning ⚓️️
