That's great! You'll be amazed what just a little gun time can do. Experiment with air, speed and distance.

The color looks a shade darker. When sanding and buffing the clear coat it changes the color a shade lighter and buff the unpainted panels for better results. Looks good!!

Yeah James, the unpainted panel hadn't been polished yet and was a bit faded. It matched up great once I removed the oxidation from that adjacent panel. Appreciate your comment and support!

Thanks for the video Chris. When I paint a roof 2 months ago here in japan the temperature in my garage was 113 f, and I couldn’t touch the panel I was spraying(too hot) 😅I didn’t have the right reducer and activator so you can imagine the results😭😭

I feel your pain brother, been there before. Makes it near impossible without the right reducer and activator.

You did a really good job getting the finish like that in that heat Chris, I don't know how you can work in that heat it's just to hot for me to cope with, it was 48C (118F) in my booth a few weeks ago and I wouldn't even go in there, I can monitor the booth/prep room temps from my living room so I just stayed indoors🥵😂luckily the weather is getting cooler so it's only 20C (70f) today. Great job Chris looking forward to the next one🙏👍John UK

I have a question for you Chris that may be a little off the topic you just demonstrated in the video. I have a car of my own im getting ready to paint and i have like 2 break threws into filler and not really straight filler but 3m glaze real light blue almost white. Can i seal over it before base? Or will it leave a halo or anything after several days? Any tricks for what i have that will keep me from priming again as i am basically all washed up and ready for the booth. Thank you a million for any info as i know you will know the answer!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
@GarageNoise
@GarageNoise 11 месяцев назад
You really should be able to just seal over it. I don't think you'll have a problem but if for some odd reason your base soaks in you can lightly sand that spot with some 600 and add another coat of base and clear over .

hey is it ok to mix different product brands together? Like using upol primer, speedokote paint, and finish 1 clear coat?
@GarageNoise
@GarageNoise 8 месяцев назад
Yes, that's ok what you don't want to do is use different activators for you clears and primers. Reducers are ok

Was that a reducer you put in the color bender

How much reducer do you add to that binder doesn't it's stay ready-to-spray
@GarageNoise
@GarageNoise 11 месяцев назад
It's ready to spray but a bit thick for my liking so I reduce it 10-15%
