fellas , like spunk said. LANE position when cornering is very important!, if you have the right lane position when banging a corner. even if your terrified of over leaning, correct lane position can get you through it and save you a bad day! hope this helps and ride safe yall. keep the rubber down

in Australia we ride on the opposite side to the USA. So we would be going in the same direction as the arrow but on the left side of the road, not the right side... so in the turn then would my bike be positioned closer to the middle of the lane closer to the lines? I came off on a right hand turn and I still have no idea why, I was doing all the right things but I still slid 😕

@johnnymember1984 I get on the bike and worry so much about not making the turn that I don't make it I've slow speed dropped it so much and it hurt like heck I couldn't imagine doing that at speed, so I over think it which sucks.

The only issue with outside inside outside is in left handers, especially tight corners where cars/other riders are over the double yellow. More often than not just cruising I go middle-middle-middle, more spirited riding I go out in out but left handers I still try to stay middle

You can also push down hard on inside peg going into turn....this will keep bike lower and help prevent from going wide. What I use.

THE BRAKES!! N1 the most important thing- learn how to slow down properly, before the turn, especialy blind one, learn how to brake while leaning and in the middle of the turn(trailbraking), and of course emergency braking. Lane positioning is important but it's not gonna save you if you'll come too hot into the turn and get scared and target fixated. Brakes folks, number 1 always!

I trail brake and lean right on over if I take a curve to wide or fast it helps rotate the bike and helps get it down lower so you can adjust your line! And smooth is fast gotta do everything super easy and super smooth at high speeds! I prefer to go into corners easy so I can exit early and get back on the gas cause I got a liter bike just like his ☝🏻but I also have a CBR300R and you gotta keep it wound up or your not going any where so I take curves far faster on it. Normally I pick which bike by where I’m going! If it’s highway liter bike if it’s town or curvy 300!

This is late after the video but I have to add: Sometimes you have to slow down instead of just positioning this way. On blind turns you never know what’s on the road or side of road. For example (something I’ve seen in a few videos of crashes): there could be pedestrians walking along the side of the road, and when you come in tight, you can very easily hit them.

My problem isn't going wide, it's not going wide enough, especially on left hand corners, I'm always looking down at the centerline of the road directly under my left foot, putting some of me in the opposite lane. I lack the confidence yet to start turning late enough in the turn.

@karampovits
@karampovits 2 месяца назад
Step 2 is all wrong my brother. After you finish the "leaning process" you open a little bit the throttle. The reason for that is that in a corner If you lose a tyre you will lose the front tyre. So by adding a little bit of throttle(the front end of the motorcycle wants to go up). You give extra help to the front tyre by taking off some pressure. If you watch motogp, you will see that nowadays after they stop leaning they almost wheelie the bike. In a lot of cases literally.

NOOO!!! Don't ride the streets like a racetrack. Stay in the middle or just outside the middle of the lane. You'll be able to look through the corners further, be visible better and sooner for oncoming traffic, and you won't run the risk of headbutting any curbside objects or oncoming traffic when turning left.

Bad advice on lane position! You want to create a buffer on blind corners! Just take it easy and stay right of center the whole corner! Plenty of drivers cut the line!
