Not sure on that power steering reservoir placement, looks like it would wobble around just on idle

You want some better line vs stainless get nickel copper line. It flares and bends easier and doesn't rust either. Also DON'T FORGET THE NUT.

As a plumber and pipe fitter I do a lot of work with tubing. His lesson here is really good, and you won’t go far wrong if you follow his directions exactly. And yeah a tubing straightener doesn’t seem worth it, but if you care how your work looks it is the most important tool in the process

Hey, they work for if you're doing mock up and you don't have a rotisserie or something that would allow you to bolt the wheel studs to without having tires on your car

I have never been able to flare a brake line so I am confident that it will not leak. Tommy makes it look easy.

The bench vice mounted flaring tools work really well. They are well worth the $150 they cost. I got taught to make lines at a late age by an even older mechanic, never had one leak using a quality flare.

Paint it purple!!! I had an 84 Regal show car in the early 90's. It was Plum Crazy Purple and that's what I named it... "Plum Crazy"

I love the '87 Regal so much!!! It is my favorite car ever made. My favorite truck is the '92 Syclone. I hope they do a Jimmy to Syclone tribute one day.

they do some funny technical stuff in these videos, like measuring to 0.928563 decimals with a tape, holding not really straight. end of that tape was bent like one inch at the end too which really matters in that high decimals that he measured.

Dumb question but with all that flash rust what do you do before you paint / sandblast? Sand the whole frame and body or sandblast it??

For the money that the front brake kit will cost ya just go with 2WD 1998-2004 Blazer spindles and C6/7 brakes to stop that LS. I have a stock 5.3 swapped into my 1978 El Camino and the stock Blazer set up stops it perfectly fine.

Flare tool is Matco Master Hydraulic Flare kit Part No. AC72475A. I live and die by it when I make brake lines.

Good tips on the rotors. Allot of line flare kits out there that are garbage. Cheap ones ( no quality control) should be banned.

Overall good episode. However I found myself wanting to listen to Tommy more than Mark. That was because there was more how-to content in Tommy's presentation style. That opening segment in which Mark made those hoses from scratch for example. We basically watched him do it rather than listen and watch him teach HOW to do it. So my suggestion would be to improve on the how-to, for that is why I watch these programs.

Your getting a 52” drive shaft let’s be honest. Not a 51.9375” the slip yoke has play come on. Content is good but let’s not stretch the reality.
