@@servantofthecreator Unfortunately not as much change as I was hoping for this far along. I see a little regrowth but overall thickness has not returned. I had blood tests to verify that I did not have thyroid issues or autoimmune disease. I stopped entirely blow drying and straight ironing my hair. I tried biotin supplements which did nothing. I changed my hair products too & noticed I lost more hair with certain products but cannot identify what ingredient in the products made the difference. I seem to lose the least hair when washing with Free & Clear shampoo and conditioner. I am now trying 2% minoxidil hair regrowth treatment. I just started a few weeks ago & have heard that it takes 4 months to see a difference. Dr. Sam Ellis also just did a video 11/17/21 on hair loss you may want to watch. Her video mentions Virtue Flourish shampoo and conditioner which I may try. I have not tried light therapy, but am considering it if the minoxidil doesn't work. I have worked very hard on managing my stress and the issue that really caused it has not changed. But I am being more kind to myself and working on balancing my life and addressing my mental health.

How did you get your hair to grow back
@sharonsvendsen6959
@sharonsvendsen6959 2 года назад
@@FransceneJK98 Time I think was the biggest factor and addressing my stress. Unfortunately I still have not regained all my hair. But I am 57 so I think some of this could be age-related. I stopped all heat styling, use mild shampoo and conditioner (nothing too heavy or with a lot of chemicals), use a bond builder or special deep treatment at least once a month, style my hair loosely so it's not being pulled or stressed, and do not wrap my hair in a heavy bath towel anymore. I am going to try Nutrafol supplements now and have heard from Dr Dray and Dr Samantha Ellis (has RU-vid videos about hair loss and care too) that there is some scientific data that it is effective. I am going to try the Flourish Density Booster from Virtue Labs too. I have tried the Scalp Treatment from The Innate Life and it seems to work the same as Minoxidil - but both are greasy so I used them at bedtime and had to wash my hair the next morning. Take care. 😊😊

I had really thick brown hair through my childhood and teenage years and it was my favorite trait about myself, but I went through a really toxic relationship with a girl in high school from age 16 to 20, not to mention having a really abusive father and my hair started falling out. I started just shaving my head with a razor because I’m so embarrassed. It makes me so sad. I think I’m still getting calmed down from everything but still living with my father so that’s incredibly stressful, but this morning I felt hair coming back in on the back of my head where the majority of hair had fallen out.

I pull my hair back tightly for 20 years and no one ever told me not to and now I have the widest part. 😖 I have adequate nutrition,supplementation and exercise and nothing has helped. Both parents are thinning at the crown. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Minoxidil did NOT work for me at all and it gave me constant painful migraine headaches and it would make me severely nauseous. 🤢 I have never slept well thanks to sinuses and I just bought a Mulberry Silk pillow case off Amazon and I am enjoying it. It wrinkles badly though and my tear drops stain the pillow but it washes great. I am always feeling run down and I don’t even have kids or a husband. 🤨 I did 10 free sessions with a therapist intern through my State College and it helped. 🙏🏻

@asterism.x
@asterism.x 3 года назад
In my case hair loss was due to vitamin D deficiency and my hair was back to normal after just a few weeks of my Dr prescribed vitamin D! I was feeling very low energy and losing a lot more hair in the shower. I’ve always had the best, full head of hair and was noticing some thinning around the temples especially if I did a ponytail I would notice. And just losing a crazy amount of hair when I would wash and detangle. I had iron deficiency in the past so thought maybe it was that again. But all my tests came back normal except vitamin D was low! My hairstylist also had the same experience recently and also found out she had low vitamin D. In my case I believe it’s due to lack of sun this year as I have had to work from home since March! Definitely do bloodwork if you’re experiencing hair loss and other symptoms. Some deficiencies may very well be the cause. So many women are quick to buy hair growth supplements and products without testing first to see if there is an underlying issue. After just 2 weeks I was losing hair at a normal rate again and my energy was much improved. Now it’s been over a month and I feel great!

Have you checked your thyroid? (TSH is not a good thyroid indicator). Morning body temperature? Should be 36.6 Degrees Celsius upon waking and after breakfast 37 degrees Celsius. @@manny769 Thank you for the tips! Yes, my endocrinologist and I have checked absolutely everything, hormones, vitamin D, thyroid, I had it properly checked, temperature is also fine, I don't have cold hands or feet. One thing left to check is Zinc as its deficit can also have similar symptoms but as of now, everything is normal and I am healthy on paper, but the hairloss and headaches are some of the worst I've had in years. It's OK though, I suffer from anxiety and depression, it's possible it was all nerve-related all along, it's just a very frustrating diagnosis. Sometimes I prefer to know there's something that can be properly cured, not an issue that can only be managed by "reducing stress" that I can't do :/ This has happened before, my body shuts different parts down after something nerve-wrecking happens, just didn't expect hair to be the next thing. Baby hairs are growing back though, so that's good news. Thanks for taking time and replying!
