Admittedly, I've been bad in the past about cable management. But new theater, new ways, and these are a few things I think are worth knowing....Vv Click "SHOW MORE" vV
This is the new setup so far! Still have to do something about the center channel, and the front speakers will likely have a different setup, but overall the theater is coming along as it should be!
Definitely MUCH nicer to have a legit AVR going, and the dual PB-1000 Pro's over the 3000 Micro. They easily replace the original PB-2000's, and can be optimized nicely:

RU-vid has been choking my channel because I haven't been uploading regularly, so I appreciate all of your support, it's kept the channel going. I'm trying to produce more, and I have several videos I'm editing currently.
I have to say that the policy of throttling channels that don't upload as often hurts creators who are unable to maintain a schedule due to disability, such as yours truly with my TBI (Post Concussion Syndrome). I purposely create "evergreen content" that doesn't revolve around "what's new".
When RU-vid shows my video thumbnails (impressions), people click on them just as much as they always have. That's my click through rate.
That said, they did introduce a new affiliate system, which could make it easier to post and generate revenue to support the channel. RU-vid ad revenue itself is less than $100 per month in revenue for me.
All SVS, Monoprice, Amazon, and other links in the description still are better to go through the links here in the description, but I'm definitely curious how this will go!
Amazon affiliate links:

I know this isn't a groundbreaking video, but I would've found it helpful myself. The other cool thing is that these can be painted.
I'd also beware of some of the Amazon kits. They have a lot of sections, but the sections are REALLY short, so it doesn't look as clean. With the ones in the video, there are fewer sections, but they are longer.

My Bass Hack video methods, with a good pair of matched, deep bass subs, are seriously game changing, seriously more than the subs can do on their own without my hacks.
I don't say that lightly.
The Distance Hack, Crossover Hack, Large vs Small Hack, Gain Hack, and the Adjusting Subs By Ear Hack, in that order, will dramatically improve your bass, with no real negatives.

So glad to see you back again! Really hope everything is well! Thanks for raising my awareness of PCS. I had no clue the meriad of symptoms I was suffering from as a result. Hope to see more videos soon!

Not enough people understand it. Some, like myself, go decades not realizing they have it, despite discussing past TBI's with their doctors. It's good to be back and I really appreciate your support!!

Great to see you back 👏🏼🙏🏼. On some homes you can run the wires under the house as well. I did the same but I used caulking to make them blend better and painted. I also pulled the baseboards back and added crown molding to hide the wire. So everything had the wife approved with a clean look. Again glad to hear your voice with clearly spoken understandable video’s. 🔊🔊

I strongly considered the crown molding option. Still not out of the question, but I needed something quickly. Going under the house is a physical option, but I'm not willing to do it. Fishing the wall is possible for the surround speakers, but the fireplace is still the problem. Great feedback, thanks!

So, on the video, I have to say I really need something like this because the rats nest of wires I have are just ridiculous. And on my comment, you put up. I meant every word. You keep making informative videos, and we will keep watching. You rock!

Glad to see you back. I hope in future videos, you’ll show all your speakers around the room to get a good view is what it looks like. Can those raceways be painted to match the color of the wall to hide them a bit more? I’m in the process of moving from a house I’ve been in for 19 years. First thing I did was finish the basement and included a dedicated HT with PJ, riders and six chairs. Nothing high end. All best bang for the buck stuff but has been amazing. I’ll be moving south where there are no basements. I also won’t be able to have surround speakers the way the family room is laid out. But if I can; I will have to do what you did in this video. Thanks for the reminder these raceways existed.

Thanks! Actually a good idea to do a little tour. For the same reason, difficult speaker placement.

Also, if you are choosing to paint match them to the wall, paint the raceway before applying to the wall
@Subwoofer101
@Subwoofer101 11 месяцев назад
Definitely a good idea! And if you need to paint after installation, open the raceways and let them dry completely before closing them, otherwise it's like painting a door or a window shut. Great point!

@@Subwoofer101 I miss typing your TV I don’t like TV above a fire place!
@Subwoofer101
@Subwoofer101 11 месяцев назад
Gotcha. Honestly, it will go another inch higher. Fireplaces are awesome, but also a massive pain for home theater. In my case, it was above the fireplace, or nothing at all. Many people are in the same boat, especially in charming older homes. Fireplaces tend to be the focal point of many homes. They definitely predated TV's! 😅 I would have gone with something larger too. Thankfully, because of my health issues (TBI/Post Concussion Syndrome), I'm most comfortable reclining as far as possible, almost flat. Frankly, I have fewer neck issues with the TV that high. I always used to tilt my head down to watch the TV at a regular height, because I was reclined so far. Doesn't look as good, but I have to say that I'm happy I was "forced" into it. It's worked out to be more comfortable. I just need to raise it an inch to fit the center channel. Definitely get it though.
