I just started my page last week, I'm kind of blended, but I don't post my personal life or my family. I have my regular page for that. My comic page is all my comics for sale and occasional posts from my PC.

Good stuff As always. I use Facebook marketplace and groups and loaded Instagram for two seconds and found it tough to navigate. U def helped Good stuff As always .....

Cool tips Regie, barely started an Instagram, think I'll start just posting pictures, but open an ebay account, then build a youtube channel, then over time make stuff available on Instagram, and if it's successful, brick and mortar, because the nearest comic shop still is 40min away!

Regie, it also helps that you have the RU-vid channel. I believe there are people out there that will buy anything as long as their favorite RU-vid personality is selling it. I think it’s a sort of bragging rights kinda thing. Say if Tom Cruise was selling a bike. Someone who doesn’t need the bike might buy it just to say they have Tom’s bike. Same with RU-vid just a smaller audience.

Yes totally agree it does take time to build your following but it beats the fees. Now if you use PayPal and you trust who you buy and sell from you can avoid additional fees if you pay or obtain payment as friends and family. Another method is place your books in a raffles if those books are slabs of higher value or ask someone that sells book in auctions that can sell your books for a small fee if again you trust the individuals that are avid sellers and is well known in IG in the comic book community. There is a plethora of ways to sell your comics.

When you use mip it paper. where do you put it in the comic? 1 piece in the center fold?

I'm waiting for some slabs to come back -- keys, setting something at like $20 and leaving it in an auction is a bit scary. I don't want to pay for the reserve price feature, is it better to post it as buy now / offer? Or just set a higher price when doing an auction? I have a few Secret Wars #1, Xmen 142, Spider-man Gleason red virgin cover, things like that.

You going to do an update video on eBay? No more PayPal fees and monthly eBay fees. They take the eBay fee out of each purchase straight up now.

To piggy back off your hashtag comment, i suggest making it easy on yourself and pre-program them into your keyboard on your phone. Theres a keyboard shortcut on the iphone so when you type specific letters (eg. igm), a slew of hashtags will pop into your post like this: #Marvel #MarvelComics #comics #comicbook #comicbooks #igcomicfamily #igcomicbooks #igcomiccommunity #IGComicLords #BronzeAge #CopperAge #ModernAge #ComicCollecting #ComicCollection #ComicCollector. Sorry for the tags regie, feel free to delete. 😉

Yikes, #1 is already over my head lol, I opened a Instagram last year to check it out but I’m afraid of it so I avoid it...multiple IG’s...hmmm, sounds confusing...(I wonder if comics 4 sale flyer on telephone pole still works?). #2, ok, now we’re talking but...interacting causes me to want to hoard & buy, not sell...#2 is another problem Regie! (I don’t know what hashtags are) #3 may be IG reputation? Ok, I think I have a dozen or so followers so that’s gotta be a lot, right? (I’ll tell all my 24 followers you’re a solid guy Regie...for a price! Naw, jk). Gallery? Story? Comon man, I thought this was gonna be easy! (I’m so not ready). Possibly around the 15 minute mark the video screwed up and changed to Latin, you should straighten that out. (Lol). I get super annoyed when people use hashtag #comicsforsale yet they are just showing off the book not really for sale( not at a reasonable price anyway).

I've done Instagram transactions and so far, all have gone well. I'm thinking of selling some of my stuff. It's scary, mainly because I don't want to get ripped off, and also because It's weird selling my precious little nerd nuggets. If anyone is looking for some CGC graded Spider-man or X-Men / Uncanny X-men ( silver and bronze only ) list what you are looking for.

Nice video - I have sold and bought comics and done a giveaway on my IG and actually had a great time. But honestly, I don’t trust the raffle scene on IG - I just don’t believe it’s legit.

I have a huge collection if about 30 bwc boxes ..I dont have instagrams or any social media ..would it be hard to start selling on Instagram if I don't have a following ?

Do you know if you sell on Instagram , does the govt expect you to pay sales tax , with the new laws Ebay and comic link add it to the sale , Will you all of a sudden get a bill per state in the future saying I owe this for not collecting sales tax ?

Either EBay or PayPal is going to take your money. Unless you want to risk it.
