I have same pellet smoker as yours. It can produce up to 60 degrees inside smoker if you close it in.. maybe in offside smokers you would get better results for cold smoking with it, not sure though. But it does produce lots of smoke and plum pellets give really nice colour to the meat in hot smoking. I personally use different smoke generator for cold smoke, the maze one with sawdust.. this one I noticed that if you fill it up (I usually mix plum pellets and beech wood chips) and let it burn at angle of 45 degrees, it does last about 6 hours.. maybe it depends also on the amount of air it gets or the fuel it self. Hey thanks, I like the idea of angling tube, I try some setups. I've also experimented a bit with mixing smoking pellets with other shaped woods. For the native wood in New Zealand, Pohutukawa its like medium/soft and doesnt burn for long I've got heaps and been mixing it up for 3-5 hours total. Cheers, heaps more videos - just need to edit them which is heaps of work! T
