Growing your hair and/or beard out is both a mental and a physical battle. It takes time, and loads of patience. Your hair grows about half an inch a month. Great point on confidence. Two days ago I trimmed my stache to disconnect it from the beard. I also trimmed a bit away from the lower lip. I wanted to try something new and bonus points for no longer eating my mustache. Turns out, it's not a good look for me. Mentally, I am at a point where I'm strong enough to power through, without shaving it all off, until it grows back. The mental strength to grow and maintain a beard is super-under rated. Thanks for touching on that.

having some one to support you really helps.When i told my gf i was going to grow a beard i expected her to say "no don't do that" ..but she didn't and she supported me. without that i think i would have given up.....now i have a well established beard and even the people who said "oh i don't think a beard would suit you" now say it suits me. Don't give up

I've got to say Love the videos and all the techniques shown to help grow and maintain a healthy n good looking beard. Mine has gone through many changes. But, having my nice full beard makes me very happy. As I tell friends, since the hair on my head has left, my great beard is the trade off. Great videos from all the guys at BeardBrand. Nothing takes more confidence or patients like getting dread locks! I've gone through the entire proses of growing out my hair for two hellish years before I decided to dread em up. It takes a lot of confidence to get dreads (especially if your a white dude) If you can go through to tough stages of growing out hair and then dreading it, you can survive anything

Love the videos you guys put up. As someone who is just now trying to grow out a full, healthy beard, I can say that the advice is really helpful and on point. I was wondering though, is there anyway that you can ship to Japan? Most of the oils I can find on the Japanese Amazon site are not emollient and I was hoping for something a little easier on the skin. Any help is much appreciated!

All good stuff. Many thanks. And as an amateur videographer, I did like the alternate camera angles. It keeps up the interest. My main interest, though was about supplements. How do you tell what is a good biotin pill? I have one with 5 * RDA of biotin, but with loads of other speculative additives, like fenugreek and asparagus powders, and another pill with 20 times the biotin, but no other additives. Which would you say is the better pill?

My get down of my face everyday! Is this normal? I follow your recomendation "don't wash the beard every single day", but during the combing it keep falling down... I need some help!!! Long story short my barber decided it was a good idea to take off half my beard on my neck without my say so. I definitely had a full beard as a goal and I am now 10 months in but have to regrow the neck. So I need help with two things. What do I do? Do I cut it off and restart. I also need a new barber that knows how to deal with beards. I live in Northern New Jersey and don't know if anyone can help me specifically with that. I won't be going to that barber any longer after that even after 10+ years.

I am at the point on my beard where the check hair is about a inch long and almost meeting the neck beard and it is doing this straight out 90 degree curve straight out i am so annoyed with it almost shaved off last night no matter the balm i use it will not lay down.

You left out getting plenty(without burning) of sun when it's out to stock up on your vitamin D which is crucial for optimum health. I could not see any difference in speed of growth when taking biotin and could not find any medical evidence to prove it has any effect. Great vids and products thanks. 9 months into my yeard.

When you turn about 24 or 25 you may grow more hair on your face. I'm 31. I only had a chin strap & some patches of hair on my cheeks at 18. Towards my mid 20's my beard started to connect & fill in.

Love the channel. Would really like to have some medical references when you are talking about health and supplements and diet and physiological processes. Using phrases like "According to Webmd" or "According to the National Institutes of Health" before making a general statement about health or medicine would lend credibility to what you claim. Thomas Stevenson your not seeing the bigger picture . Yes , a beard is a beard in all reality , but another thing about this channel and the community from this brand and channel is that even if you haven't grown a very well beard or a patchy beard they give support either way . Tips , things to think about maybe while trying to grow out your beard or maybe styling your hair or how you could dress , life tips etc . There's more to these videos they make and provide and tell than just about beards . It's all about journey . In any way shape and form to your liking .
