I went whole food plant based over four years ago and lost 175lbs. I love all kinds of herbs and spices. I love Japanese miso ramen that is one of my favorites. I really enjoy your videos Ami. Best of luck to you in all you do. 🤤💗
I've been making hummus with cauliflower for ages. You don't need to roast the cauliflower. It is fine steamed. If you add the cauliflower and some aquafaba in with your chickpeas and lemon juice and spices and whiz it up for a good 2 minutes it comes out super creamy. My hubby loves it and has no idea it has cauliflower in it. He always asks why my hummus tastes so much better than store bought.
Hey I have never made hummus at home successfully, would you please share the exact measurements you use? I add half a bag of cauliflower rice to 1/2 cup oats for my microwave porridge, you can’t taste it and it adds nutrients and is more filling, always happy for more recipes like this☺️☺️xox
@@AsMr-km6ex I make my own chickpeas in the instant pot but you can use canned. I use 2 cups chickpeas, 1 - 2 tbsp lemon juice, 100 g cauliflower, 1/4 cup aquafaba ( cooking liquid from chick peas or liquid from tin) 2 tsp ground cumin, 2 tsp liquid aminos (Braggs) , . It is the recipe for oil free hummus from Forks Over knives but I add cauliflower and substitute the aquafaba for the veggie broth. The aquafaba makes it really creamy. If you don't have liquid aminos you could sub tamari or soy sauce. The liquid aminos acts as the salty element in the recipe. You could also just use salt I suppose.
@@AsMr-km6exhalf a bag?? That sounds like heaps of cauli for only half cup of oats? Um could u tell me how big the bag is please so I get actual measurements for your micro porridge please? Cheers!
Girl.. you're so real... I don't get to see that with fake spiritual vegans or rather soon to be non vegans .. Please don't change ... I love your personality.. I love your recipes ... I eat similar but a lot more nuts and seeds..
Loaded Pizza Fries Marinate then bake sliced MUSHROOMS (baby Bella, cremini, white button, or whatever). The Marinade: soy sauce, liquid smoke, garlic salt, onion powder, smoked paprika. Use a lined baking tray/sheet. If you can let it marinade for 5 minutes before baking it's even better) Roast BROCCOLI sprinkled with garlic salt on a lined baking sheet/tray. POTATOES: Slice raw or pre-steamed potatoes into the shape of fries. Sprinkle with garlic salt, smoked paprika & nooch. Air fry or bake until done. HUMMUS: In Blender or Food Processor: a can/tin of CHICKPEAS including the aquafaba, 1 tbsp tahini, roasted cauliflower, lemon juice, salt, ice cubes blend. TOMATO Sauce: a can/tin of tomatoes, garlic salt, dried basil & oregano. She heated it a little in her microwave. On a plate place the roasted broccoli, potato fries, tomato sauce, hummus (or if you prefer vegan cheese), mushrooms, seitan strips (optional-she received some as a gift), & a raw tomato.
Chocolate Pudding Ingredients: 2 ripe bananas 3/4 cup cooked millet 3/4cup silken tofu (or use black beans or soy milk) a couple of tbsp Cocoa powder (or use carob) water if necessary Place in Vitamix & use tamper (or use a food processor). Then add - some steamed cauliflower, miso & vanilla to taste & then blend again. Depending on your taste & ripeness of the bananas you may want to add some dates or maple syrup. Garnish the pudding with some frozen cherries.
I’ve seen some starch solution people saying that food should be bland to keep you from eating too much, but I find that makes me eat more. I need flavor to be satisfied
I'm off work I'll and been miserable all day, then I came across this video and smiled when your little girl was helping you in the kitchen, she looked so proud of herself! Made my day better! Your enthusiasm is catching! Thank you!
If your food processor has a shredder blade you can shred cooked potatoes and mix in cornstarch and seasoning with splash of water and make a pizza crust.
Love your videos with your children. They are beautiful and you are teaching them such good life skills at such a young age. Love your recipes and how authentic you are.
Talk about maintenance! Yes, please! I’ve been WFPB for quite some time. I lost a total of 15 lbs and got actually too skinny at one point. But over the past 5 years I put on 8 lbs. So here I am looking for inspiration and companionship on my weight loss journey. Thank you! I love having your videos on while I’m working in the kitchen. And their chalk full of great ideas and inspiration. But mostly it’s just helpful to have someone who is trying to eat like I am for the same goals. You give me hope! I had to put a bunch of jeans and trousers in a bin in the basement last fall and I’m determined to get back into them!
I really love all of your content - noisy kids, creativity to burst out of you, loving moments with your family - just all of it... Hups.. forgot to mention your recipes, books, mealplans and food in general. You totally got me hooked on your way... I really imitate and create heaps of your stuff and I would love to influence you as well - leafes of cauliflower together with carrot peel, broccoli stemp, potatoes I always make a very low density soup out of the "green NO-waste" - maybe an idea 💡 for you or someone out of the community ❤ great day to all ❤❤ ❤❤
Good job Brocoli Mum! The curtains in the complementary color, blue, not a pale but in the same intensity as this superb orange, or a purple, more sophisticated.
I just love the way you are so amazingly creative with food! I really wish that you had your own cooking show, with your daughter of course. 😊 I would watch it for sure. Thank you for sharing your amazing self! ❤
Love new cutlery and that spoon is fab especially with the handy long handle. Great for reaching unto blenders etc and not getting hands messy. Love your videos!
I love you and your family! I also love how you sometimes give a calorie count on what you're eating bc I want to eat the same things you do but the number of calories I eat are much different than yours. Romy makes me laugh with how she plays to the camera omg.
Oh yes, another great lunch!!!. Soup sounds good for later also. YUUM. I enjoyed our visit today thank you. I look forward every time we get together. Thank you. God bless you & your family from grandma Katie in Oregon, USA
I just love watching you girl.. Anything you post is special to me... It's just so relaxing to watch you and your lil raame.. Not to mention, you're so creative.. I'm more into high protein vegan stuff but i just love to watch your what i eat in a days.. you make me more creative in the kitchen..
Just stumbled on your site and absolutely adore you! I follow all of your here and there sporadic energy and thoughts!! And I absolutely adore little Romi in the mix 🥲 You are so real and such a sweet mama. Again reminds me of my whirlwind mama of littles days. My baby just turned 12 and I remember older mamas telling me to enjoy it because they grow too fast!! I always appreciated it and so I pass that on to but it already looks like you are doing that ☺️. Most important work you’ll ever do and next is raising them w good nutritious food and a healthy relationship w it. Rock on girl! Oh and I am soooo excited to try you recipes!!
Another great video! Can’t wait to try to cauliflower in my hummus l like my hummus by the vat full as well 😂. Thanks for all you share and for keeping it real ❤
Thank you for talking abou fruit and calories. Yes, fruit is so amazing but lots of vegan (mostly raw) influencers say "eat as much as you want" and to lose weight, no that's not true. If I ate as many bananas as I wanted, I am sure I would gain weight. Thank you for all the tips!
not true, if you're a raw vegan, then banana will give you the calorie you need, if eating cooked food, it's probably the potato and pasta that will add the weight not the fruit.
Hiii Ami☺️ It’s not controversial at all! I loved the news about “orange”(in trying not to share a spoiler😂) Absolutely love the recipes I need to try them! 🤤😋☺️🤩🥰
Now I can’t cause I don’t have some of the appliances in my kitchen. But I will try to make them with a turn😉☺️🥰 omg that broccoli looks sooo good! Thank you for sharing your ideas and amazing recipes!
Okaaay. About the curtains I do believe that ANY color will be good like, blue, pink, green, moss green, yellow, brown, gray… like any! Do you know what type of curtains do you want? Maybe it helps to choose ☺️
Once again half an hour of great entertainment with great recipe ideas! Can you roughly estimate how many calories the “loaded pizza fries” contain? best regards from Germany Thomas
Hi, just started watching you, hope you don't mind my asking some questions as you whizz by so quickly which I love but, how do you prepare the millet? I didn't catch your daughter's name is she vegan too? What is satan???
I've got a vegan junk food pusher in the family... it's wild... she has to tell us every shop, cafe, restaurant, pub, etc that has vegan options that's always junk and tells us multiple times just to make sure we have it. She knows we both eating healthy and are avoiding junk. It's so much that I'm understanding that it's toxic. Sad. Anyone else dealing with pushers? (Booze, junk, etc). We don't drink alcohol or so that pushing stopped a decade again.
Me too, I have had to add lean protein back into my diet and the gas is so much better. I really think some people were not made to consume a huge volume of plant foods. Moderation is working for me.
I dont know what Iam doing wrong. Been following her diet plan for months, not lost a pound. Had all my bloods done, all normal. Can anyone help me please!
She is very energetic and I think burns A LOT of calories. For me her volume eating style doesn't work, I prefer to eat four or five small meals a day (usually of side plates to keep portion size down) so that my stomach gets used to smaller portions and instead of snacks I divide my lunch and dinner into two and spread it out over the day. Not sure if that will help but it's a different approach that works for me. xx
