My Cat was missing for three days too, I was searching everywhere. Couldn't eat, couldn't sleep... I was so worried, it was just a nightmare. Felt so helpless with all the Thoughts of what might happened to her. After four days, it was late at night and i couldn't sleep (just dreamed of her an hour before and woke up and started heavely crying) suddenly i heard a miaowing under my Window. First i thought i'm still dreaming but then i realized it was real. I never got out of bed so fast! I opend the Door and there she came running up to me. Pure happieness on both sides. :) I'm not ashamed to say this is/was one of the best/happiest moments in my life. 🌌❤

My one year old cat Dalai just came back home after 20 whole days of being missing. It was the lowest and darkest time of my life. I was crying and praying all the time, I was even telling all my friends to pray for Dalai's safe return. Even though I was broken I still had faith that he would somehow show up and he did. I've just found my cat!!! I'm soooo happy!! It took me 9 days to track him. I did everything you can imagine, I even talked to neighouring cats and asked them to tell my cat to come back home. A neighbour found him in his garage today, and he immediately recognised him. He knew it was my cat, because I had spent the previous days talking to my neighbours and putting up posters everyehere. I left fliers in every house. It was really tiresome and stressful, I'm not very sociable, so it was quite a Challenge to go and talk to each of my neighbours. This is kinda an old video but I’ve watched it over 10 times in the last week. My cats been missing for months and I’m devastated. We’ve searched every 5+ neighborhoods but can’t find any trace of her. My biggest fear is she got ran over since our house isn’t far from the main road. Three years ago my favorite cat went missing for 5 days. He was a total indoor cat and terrified of the street outside my house, so I was completely sure he'd never be able to survive outside my house. I'd read somewhere that cats travel three blocks a day so I was also scared he would end up in a big avenue near our house. I cried and went looking for him every day, then I try the technique with the food and the blanket. Sure enough at two in the morning he shows up outside, yelling his head off, waking us all up and smelling of car oil. Stupid cat must've been hiding under a car in front of our house all this time thinking he had completely lost us

There was a funeral event in our neighborhood for 4 days.. My cat was an adventurous cat, he leaves the house at day and comes back at night.. It is amazing how much energy we expend to find our precious pets. I have done these very thing. I actually had the experience of looking all over for my Roofy Boy, put posters up, went door to door, scoured the neighborhood, checked the pound daily, and posted his picture on Facebook to no avail. We even had a neighbor say he fished him out of a water ditch, that he had drowned and he threw him in the trash can. Wow! Didn't believe that. As days turned into weeks I had to come to terms that he was gone. My daughter and I were devastated, yet we still kept a hopeful heart. One early morning, about 3 am, something jumps through our bedroom window onto our bed. I leaped from the bed and flipped the light switch on, and there was Roofy! Needless to say I was beside myself, yelled to everyone in the house, and we celebrated over our prodigal cat. Even my husband was happy, at least for me. Not sure where he had been all that time, though we think the neighbor kids had him. All this to say, never give up.

I'm glad you were able to find your cat. I lost my first cat several years ago, when We lived out in the country. She was quite independent, and loved the outdoors. She could spend all day and night out there. But like clockwork, every time I called her name, she'd come running, making a cute little chirpy meow as she ran, and she'd always come inside for food and cuddles. She never left a particular radius, and was wary of both strangers and the road (I was the only one she let touch her while she was outside). But one night there was a really big storm, and I called and called, for hours. I figured she had holed up somewhere to stay out of the rain(this wasn't her first rainstorm, and has hid away until morning before). I left the door cracked and her bowl full, for when she came in. And when her food was untouched the next morning, I got worried. I found her collar in the dirt and I began to panic a little, and I called and searched until I was sore and hoarse. There was no sign of her in her usual hangouts, nor on the road(my heart had stopped thinking about it) I left the door cracked for days, set food outside and inside, and asked all the neighbors. I began to suspect a coyote must have gotten her, or a child stole her(one family nearby had a history of theiving) Several months later I had to move, and I had never seen a hair of her head again.😖 I still miss her so much. Never give up on your pets, and pray luck is on your side!

My cat Ambrose went missing for two weeks over one Christmas time (years ago now). I asked around and put up posters. That was my worst Christmas ever. He must've been accidentally locked in someone's garage or shed. He reappeared a bit thin and covered in oil, but he was OK. He slept in my bed that night while I clutched onto him and wept from sheer relief.

A couple of years ago, my little mia went missing after being chased by two dogs in our communal yard. An upstairs neighbour decided to let their dogs out despite me being out there with my cat.. and she knew we were there. Poor mia was chased out of the yard and went missing. I thought she'd calm down and come back during the night... nope. 2 days pass and I get worried because this cat had never been outside the yard and was very very timid of other people and things. 4 days pass and no cat, really concerned, even my boss sends me home early to search... didn't find her. Rang the local cats protection, the vets, put up an article on pet search uk. Still no mia. 7 days after the disappearance, at 2am, there was the indigent meowls of an annoyed cat at the door. Mia had come home, and immediately buried her snout in the foodbowl that I got out for her... then spent the rest of the morning asleep on my lap (until i had to go to work), completely content.

If you live in a sparsely populated area, go from door to door and ask the neighbors if they can check any sheds / basements or outbuildings. There is a good chance your cat might have got locked into to a basement if it sneaked in.

I had to come back and say thank you to you for this video. My sister in Trinidad lost her kitty and she didn't know where to look. She was gone for several days and we were all scared that she had died. I shared this video with her and it gave us hope!! Two days ago she was out calling for her in the back yard and she heard a faint meow. She said she kept looking in the bush and couldn't see her. Finally she looked up and there she was!!! We were all celebrating!! Thankful to God for keeping her alive and grateful to you for making this video!☺️

I lost my cat today, he was gone 5:00 am in the morning. My mom found his cage half opened. When I woke up and she started telling me the bad news, I couldn't stop crying. I knew he wouldn't dare to take a step outside, he's been an indoor cat since his birth, and he would rather roam around the house but this morning it was different. I searched around the neighborhood and called his name, but I got none. I wish he's just in heat and would want to search for a female cat because tbh he didn't have mated yet. So he may be searching for female cats and ran away with them for a while. But I hope, he's completely fine. I wish I could just wake up at night hearing a meow from the outside and wishing he was home again, to me. 💔

Wow so lucky to find her! I rescued a black kitten from the street and after 1 year went missing for 3 days. She is spayed, and I don't allow her to sleep outside the house during the night, for her safety. I worried a lot after searching and calling for her 2 days and not having any response. Didn't know how much I worry for her till that happend. On the 3rd night I prayed for her asking God to make her come back home, or just to let me know she won't come anymore ( couldn't continue having this feeling anymore) Next morning she was meowing at my door. Hehe! thank's God ! She is back.

Years ago I had a Tomcat that went missing for 6 months. He came back one day like he had never left. I fed him, he used his litter box, sat with me as I read the paper and had coffee, then he left again. I had my kids go look for him and we found him a block away living in a vacant house with about 5 females. I guess since he had his own house and everything he just had come by to visit not stay. But he was living it up and never came home again. We would go see him at his house and he would say hello, but he never lived with me again. Now, years later, my son has a male cat that he had neutered. He is a very friendly cat and people pick him up and walk away with him. But he gets about a block away and gets mad at them and runs home. Cool cat!! LOL

I followed your advice and found my missing kitty who fell out the window from my 8th-floor apartment!!! She was not injured but scared like hell. I will never forget her desperate meow answering to my call. Thank you so much!!! Love you Simon

Ours was gone for over a month. We loved everywhere. Our son walked around a six block area every day calling. It was horrible. Then one day I opened the door to get the mail. There he was sleeping on the porch chair. He was all torn up and missing a tooth, but fine. He came over and brushed my leg and I picked him up and put him in the house. Whew! He is sitting here help my type as I write this.

Aw I'm so glad you found him! What are the odds that you find him up a tree!? Thank god you didn't give up, poor thing 😅 bless him. It is very scary when they go missing, Especially with my cats because they're senior and they take medications. I'd do the same thing though, I'd run through blazing fire to save mine. If anybody out there is missing a cat don't give up, I know people who've had their cats go missing for months and months and then they turn up at the door step again. And if by chance you don't find them, or god forbid something happens to them, just remember that you still gave them a good life and took care of them to the best of your ability ❣

Super Dad Simon! I'm so happy Teddy was all right. I was reunited with my two cats who had the most peculiar case and went missing at the same time. For 4 days I was a wreak. Didn't sleep and feared the worst. The baby came home with scratches on his nose which look like he was trying to escape from something. After 5 days the older one came home with a tiny wound on his head. I did everything I could possibly think of and I still will never know where they were or if they were trapped. My last resort was going to be hiring bloodhounds to track them. I'm so grateful they're home safe. I'm waiting for the final prototype to be approved and mailed out to me by the end of the month for a cat GPS collar. (All the dog GPS collars are too large and heavy for the cats) Until then they stay indoors and in the catio. I hope all of your pets are safe and healthy!

I love my cat soooo much. I can't be without her. I remember once i was missing her. It happened already several years ago. I can still feel till these days the pain in my heart i experienced. That wad unbelievable how big the pain was. I was looking for her for two hours. I put my house upside down. I was going outside in the dark in rain looking under trees. When suddenly she appeared to be sitting on my bed. I have no idea where she was those two hours, but it was the worst two hours in my life. Now i love my cat even more. She's part of my life, part of me.

The odds of this happening can be reduced significantly by keeping your cats indoors and/or in a cat-safe enclosure, as well as by having your cat spayed or neutered to reduce the urge to roam looking for a partner. And, of course, as the video says, microchips are awesome, because even if you do everything right, accidents still happen.

My cat is missing from 19 days, I have searched near by places can't see him. I am worried about him.Hopefully he is safe and happy. It literally haunts me every single day. I miss him alot. Hoping to see him soon.

Very frightening situation. Fortunately my cats are indoor only, so this is an unlikely situation for me. However, I do have them microchipped just in case they somehow get out and lost.

I have a cat missing for 6 months and I still couldn’t find him every time I saw his pics I felt so happy and at the same time happy emotions came I was so worried if my cat was dead or eaten I tried to look for my cat everywhere but still couldn’t find him I’m not giving up cuz if I find him my heart will feel happy now my goal is not to lose my other cat and get my lost cat back

My stray kitten went missing a week ago and returned today...... I m so glad to have him back.

My cat Sabrina was so attached to my mom that she ran away for 3 whole weeks! My mother was down in another town taking care of my grandmother who had cancer, so this made Sabrina quite upset. Once mom came home to check in on me (I was home from college on break at this time), Sabrina FINALLY came back home! I even put out missing signs for her in neighbor's mail boxes. One person did stop by and said that my cat had been sitting up in her tree a few times. But she came home safe and sound. Edit: I also had another cat named Miko (rest her soul) who got stuck in a tree in our back yard. We have a woodland area back there and tons of trees. So she got stuck in a tree, she stayed there for a few hours, and she got herself down once she got hungry. So if a cat is hungry enough, and not up so high that they can't get down by themselves, they can get themselves down.

My white cat Felix went missing for 2 month. Was out most night pointlessly calling her (she was def). A month went by and came to the sad conclusion she'd been hit by a car. Then about 3 weeks later I woke to see a strange black cat sleeping at the end of my bed. Felix had return not a clue where she'd been for 2 month but looked like she'd spent more then a couple nights in a coal bin.

I watched this video the day I lost my cat. So i got out at night , and there she is, alive and well after 1 day missing.. 10’houses away from me. But She ran away when she saw me. I Felt sad and confused but a relieved that she is alive and well. The next night i try to look again, and i couldnt find her anymore. At that time I started thinking she didnt want to come home. But we tried to gave her a food trail to our home. And then at 4am, she came back in front of my window. My cat was away for 5 years. At some point I just accepted that he was gone but one day he just sat there in front of my door, screaming at me. He then run into the house, straight to the place where his food used to be, ate a whole chicken breast (I haven't had anything else to offer him), jumped on his usual place on the sofa and fell asleep. He never left ever since.

Great story! It made me think of when Princess went missing. I didn't see her for over 2 and a half years. I thought she had died out there somehow and that I would never see her again. Then one day there she was right by the front tire of my van. I was more glad to see her than she was to see me. I have done amazing work with feral cats of all ages but I guess sometimes you can't take the feral out of the cat. At least she didn't come back to me like I first found her which was pregnant. :) I had her spayed after the kittens were weaned. I also kept all her babies - she only had four and one set of twin boys. I could never tell them apart. - Heidi

My indoor cat slipped out 3 days while I was bringing in groceries. I had 2 huge paper bags in my hands so I couldn't see to well. It was a while till I realized that she was missing. I raised this cat from a kitten & felt such a bond with her. I just can't believe I let her down & didn't keep her safe. And a big snow storm is coming & I'm worried sick. I tried walking her on a leash in the past but she would freak out when she heard any kind of noise. But the last 3 nights I've been up & down my neighborhood calling her name. And nothing. I lost a family member a few days ago & was grieving. And now this happens. I don't have any kids. So she's like my baby. I feel like someone is testing me to see how much I can take before I brake. I can't eat or sleep or do anything. I did the whole facebook thing & let the animal shelter know she was missing. I put up flyers. And I even let the police know. I put her litter on the back porch with her favorite food. In case she's near so she can recognize her scent. It's amazing how much joy & love these animals can give especially when you have a bond with them. I've had other pets in my life. But there was something special about her. I'm trying not to give up hope. But I'm starting to think I'll never see her again. So to all the comments on here I feel your pain.

My cat was missing for about a week it scared us cuz every night we heard meowing and every day we searched. We live in an open area so it was hard to tell where the meowing was coming from thanks to the echoes. Until we finally found her high up a tree. When i was calling my cats in one night, i heard a soft meowing coming from the back of the garden. So, i looked near the fence. Couldn't find her. Then i went round to look outside the garden. Still, i heard meowing, but no cat. Turned out she was locked in the neighbor's garage. No answer at the door, so i left them a note to release the cat at the earliest convenience. And so it was, that, early next morning, i heard her come in and start eating from her bowl. Another time, she was already missing for a day, which wasn't unusual for her. When i got home and got out of my car, i heard a meowing from above. She was in a tall tree and didn't want to come down. Now, i had a 6 meter extension ladder laying around in my garden, so i put it up against the tree. When i got up, i just barely could reach for the cat. I grabbed her by the skin of her neck and pushed her against my shoulder, while i worked my way down again. When i was still 3 steps up, she wriggled free, jumped to the ground and disappeared. An hour later she came in as if nothing had happened. Later that year, she started disappearing for increasing periods of time. Than i got a call from the vet; she was brought in for a check-up and they had found the chip in her neck, registered to my name. Seemed she had found herself another home, where she slept, got fed and was being played with. Apparently she wasn't my cat anymore, so i left it at that. At least i knew she had a loving home.

My boy has been missing for a week now....I've asked all around, and no one seems to have seen him. I'm so worried.....please pray for him, you guys.

When I was young, I didn't get my cats neutered. I had a male cat who would go on 'sex trips' around the neighbourhood, but he turned up on the same day (dirty, smelly and with ticks). Once he went missing for three days and I got extremely worried. But I didn't learn my lesson. This led to his dying young, because on one of those trips he got caught by a dog. He was only three years old. Such a lovely, affectionate cat. I still miss him after 30+ years and I still feel guilty.

Coincidentally, my pet cat called Vanilla has been missing for around 3 weeks by now. He's a farm cat (I'm not allowed to bring him to my home because my sister has allergies) who lives with his mom named Mami. Vanilla is probably the most loving and friendly cat I've ever met ( Mami is a lot more on the shy side ) and is the first barn cat I've successfully been able to tame. ( Both Vanilla and Mami have been neutered as well ) A lot of the time when I come down the yard I'de usually find Vanilla in very unusual places, such as a very high hay bail or sleeping on my dad's trailer, so I'de always have to venture out and look for him to let him know it's time to eat. It's not unusual for Vanilla and Mami to dissapear, however until now they've always gone off hunting together but this time I've become very worried because this is the first time Vanilla himself has been gone for this long. I've looked everywhere in the farm and fields, calling out his name and shaking his food bag but I've never gotten a response. My mom thinks since he's such a friendly cat, someone could've taken him ( he doesn't have a collar ) or he may have been attacked by a mink or another wild cat. Mami still pops in every now and again, but my mom thinks she may be sick because by now she's extremely old and has grown a lot more weary. The farm has become rather quiet without Vanilla and my family and I are all still trying to find him.

Thank you for making this video. my opie has run away and this video really helped me not feel so helpless. Opie is my best friend and i feel like someone might have taken him (worse case scenario). He has helped me get through my worst moments and helps me hold on to life and not give up. I put a sock outside with my sent on it and some food, I will light a candle every day. Search the entire forest around and even go door to door if It comes to that. PLEASE PRAY FOR MISSING OAFY TO COME HOME.

My cat went missing for 2 weeks and still can’t find her... i did everything I could and still. I miss her.. 😔

I used to have two cats, brother and sister. Brother went missing couple of times and one time he stayed away (we have gardens that are surrounded by houses but one burned down which created an opening). He was such a lovely cat and it broke my heart. After that his sister went missing too. She came back after two months, pregnant! (seems like she had a fun time..!) We kept a kitten, so back again with two cats in the house. And after 7 years, the brother suddenly was standing in our garden, clearly a little bit confused because he probably recognized the smells but a lot changed too (he also smelled the new cat.) We had seen him before, walking around in the streets. Brother and sister never recognized each other again, and the three never got along. It's so sad, he wanted to come in but couldn't. He was quite confused, he was really cuddly but suddenly, out of nowhere, he would attack you. Sadly, because of this, we had to leave him alone. Now he hangs around the different gardens and looks well fed. Probably got taken in by another family and he totally forgot about us. So ungrateful! haha! But you see, never stop looking, you never know!

We had a cat go missing for days. Then we found her stuck in a neighbor's garage. The neighbor was away on vacation, but we were able to contact her and persuaded her to come home early -- lest my mom break a window (the only time I heard her threaten vandalism).

My cat went missing for 3 hours. My cat isn’t an outdoor cat.. so I hoped that he wouldn’t have gone far and would stay within the area. I knew this was true because if he had escaped, he wouldn’t go far. I walked around the block, yelling his name, snapping his cat food can. For 40 minutes. I was beginning to lose hope and went back home, and just starting all over again tomorrow. When I got back home - 5 minutes later, I hear a meow at my front door, and it was him.

That was a hilarious and sweet story! My sisters cat went missing one time in the middle of winter. She was being transported by a family member in a vehicle when it had an accident (don't worry he's fine). The startled cat escaped and bolted into the woods. She was looked for afterwards but not found. I remember making the fliers on my computer. I picked the best picture of her I could find and put the number and other information. It was a bit strange and awkward to do, really. I had imagined making fliers for the cats before, but I never knew that I would actually ever be doing it. It didn't feel serious, it felt like it could not be real that the cat was missing. Anyway, we put up fliers around where she ran away and hoped for the best. I was not sure that she could survive. The winter is very cold where we live, and the snow is deep. I know someone who had a whole flock of chickens that froze solid because of the heating not working. I didn't want that to happen to my sister's cat out there all alone. I think it was three weeks after she disappeared, we were contacted by a person who found her outside skinny and eating their dog's food. She was nursed back to health and my sister had her cat again. Well a lot has happened since then that I could tell another story, but I think I'll leave it at that and say it's still nice to look back on that story and how she narrowly escaped death but was saved, thank and praise God.

Same thing happened to one of my cats. He went missing for two days. My sister and I were out looking around and found him stuck up in a tree. We got a rope and basket and my sister climbed up into the tree and lowered him down in the basket. Darn thing is afraid of heights now.
