Yeah that’s really poor work that… To do this properly he should have uniformly prepared the board in a steambox… a steambox will slowly break the lignin bonds and allow you to shape it much more vigorously and without all that pre cutting… once the lignin hardens in the new shape, you’re basically done except for finishing. This can be done at home with some prep… for small bends you dont need to steam the whole board, just your section… for small bends i use a wallpaper stripper as the source of steam and pipe it into a box that encloses the section of board to be bent… i have also used tubular plastic bags before todo a full board on a jobsite without a full length steambox. If you’re making a permanent steambox more steam is better.

@boratsagdiyev5679

He used too many cuts for the angles he wanted to create so there was a imperfect finish on that. Usually theres router bits for doing this that dont make a slot like shown here but more of a very pointy triangle shape that allows the bend to be "closed" when looking at it from up front. Also his choice of using super glue and dust from sanding was not exactly the best option, he should have used a wax based filler that has the right colour after applying the finish to the wood so it doesnt show these different shades in the bends. On top of that his choice of connecting the two pieces like this is slightly questionable. I mean in the end it worked and im sure it'll hold up for a while but its not exactly done professionally
