There are ways to do this without the plugin, it was a thing even in vanilla RCT2 with trainers. But I think the plugin is the easiest way to do it now.

Exactly. Merging track is tedious and this way is so much simpler. In theory a ride could have 4 different track types.

@@openRCT2tutorials A ride can have as many different track types as it has track pieces. When the new save format was introduced, they changed it so that track type was defined per track piece rather than per ride. But they never added a UI to actually use the feature, so until this plugin came along it was unused and people continued merging. I think it is less well known because people simply aren't aware it exists yet. Editing vehicles was really hard to do before the plugin and extremely awkward for those who knew how, but merging tracks isn't that hard so I think most people just haven't yet caught on that there's now an easier way.

Yes, but with this plugin one is limited to four since it’s based on paint schemes.

That seems certainly possible with the way the I build the parachute drop tower. It’s definitely feasible to have an observation tower as the tower structure. Now I have to google Knott’s old ride!

Yeah! Because the wooden coaster has vertical loops it has the vertical sprites. Goes both ways, so the air powered vertical coaster has sprites for vertical loops. Fun fact, the heartline twister has sprites for unbanked turns, oddly enough.

You can save any track design as long as it doesn’t use any new elements that aren’t supported by .td6 files such as zero-g rolls. If you have coding experience, the developers would appreciate help designing the new track file format.
