This is how I stop the dust leaking from bag and making sure it's a good seal. Update from my original post about where I used 2 bags. One over the centre sponge.
from my experience it fells like there should be rubber seal between the lid and the bucket . The lid clips on a side are a bit loose. If you add rubber seal ( f.e. the ones for door/window drafts) the seal between the lid and bucket will be tighter and the clips will be tight as well
I still have the sponge on but not bothered with the optional filter cartridge. I guess you could use the filter cartridge and a bag or even cover the filter cartridge with a bag and just use like that. There are a few combinations you could try. My thinking is to protect motor from dust but mostly filtering out the air for a clean environment and protect my lungs. The puff of dust I was getting from vacuum worried me with standard bag pushed on as not sealing well.
Design on this thing is baffling. I have the same and every time I empty the bag, I sit looking at how you install the bag thinking I must be missing something blindingly obvious to secure the bag in place, but no.. it's just a crap design. I think I'll take your lead with the gaffer tape from now on though!
I struggled to find a good bag so ended up using a mirka or festool bag and used tape to hold in. Don't matter if it 20lt or 30lt or even bigger. Still works. Often the supplier would change bags and I'd get paper vs fleece or just poor quality. .Bags are not cheap unfortunately if you want a quality hepa bag, so I often cleaned them out and reused a few times. I see 10 x TITAN SCREWFIX Vacuum Cleaner Bags Microfibre Hoover Bag 16L 20L 30L 40L on ebay. Might be good enough for you or do you want something better.
@@waynehendry9782 Thanks for getting back to me Wayne. The bag that came with the vacuum split on first use which was a pain as I had planned to modify it for multiple use (split open with blade and then use bulldog clips to re seal). Ideally I’d like just the one bag that can be emptied continuously and ideally washed out periodically. Thanks for your help with this.
Buy a festool or mirka hepa bag with added zip off ebay. Yes the burst bag problem is across the vacuum range with poor quality bags. The poor filtration causes motor failure plus air pollution. I stick with genuine quality bags now
Links go dead after a while which is why I never put link. Titan microfibre bags is what you need to search for. Like this.. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392663240393
It's a sponge so i leave on just incase something gets past bag and then sucked in the motor causing damage. Sponge may prevent that. On or off It makes no difference to the suction.
@@oimpaa You just got to get what you can to fit. It's been a problem for a few years now so I even resorted to nilfisk bags. Screwfix didn't have any for ages.
