Tony, this completely changed my titanfall game. I've always considered myself a pretty solid titanfall player, and usually finish in top 3. I've always prided myself in my ability to move quickly across the map and outmaneuver my oppenents, but lately I've recognized I just get outgunned. I've always chalked it up to them using better weapons (blame it on the hemlok/devoition/flatline, right?). Cue me surfing youtube and seeing you had a new vid up. I checked it out and it blew my mind. Before your video was even finished I booted up a match to test it out. I knocked my 8 sensitivity down to default. Sure enough after booting up the game and joining a match late (and sitting in a corner while I finished your video) I started racking up kills with the alternator I didn't think were possible before. I mopped up the other team so easily that by the end of it I had got on the top of the leaderboard! It's crazy to me how much it helped! Thanks for the video, man. You make great stuff! Let me know if you ever break down and get tf2 on the ps4!

Great video! Even though I do have very high sensitivity I'm in the 10 percent. That's why I do use the alternator and Re 45 all the time. I have been in the top three for a long time. But the more I watch your videos I do improve. I was averaging 5-10 kills a game. But since I started watching you I've been getting 20 pilot kills almost every game. Keep up the great work!

I made this adjustment long ago and it improved my aim significantly. more shots were landing, and it saved me from many standoff situations. this is good advice for all players at any level.

I just started playing with my DualShock controller on PC and it's made the world of difference to a mouse. I think it's because there is more resistance in the thumb-stick which slows down the cursor movement and stops me from flailing the cursor when trying to make small adjustments to get a moving target. Not for everyone, but the controller works for me. Will try putting my sensitivity back down to default.

When I started this game I set it to four because 3 felt too slow for traversal. I never considered lowering it because I thought 4 was already really low. Set it back to 3 and I already feel "better" at the game/aiming. There are a few moves I don't think I can make as consistently, corner turns etc, but the accuracy more than makes up for that. Great video.

hey tony i have been playing on default sensitivity since release, and have about a 57% mvp rate in public matches and about 76% top 3 position. do you think that i should try turning up my sensitivity to make turns faster? Thanks

i typically keep my sensitivity around 4 and I also am a big fan of the G2 A5 does this still apply you typically used a smg in the shots you took I only rarely find my self hipfiring with my rifle how might lowering my sensitivity help?

I am definitely going to try this, it is something I struggle with. When following right behind an opponent it's like I get all jittery and my cross-hair is all over the place!! And I don't get the kill! But from my COD days I know that "higher sensitivity means I'm a better player" In CQC I cannot get the kill. I don't understand how you get so many kills without ADS but it too is something I need to try. Thanks

Does anyone know why I'm unable to change my sensitivity. It comes up as grayed out ever since I started the multi-player i think.

I'll give it a try, but due to the fact that I main the EPG-1 and thus that 10% of needing to turn around is razed to 50% of the time I'm not sure how much this will help

I have been trying to set myself up with a 4 sensitivity. When I first started playing Titanfall 2, I set the sensitivity to 2 and it was too slow. I was comfortable at 3, but I noticed I was missing some easy kills just because I couldn't turn around fast enough. While I do agree that a lower sensitivity does help with some players, it seemed to hurt me more than help.

I just use advanced look settings which can also help to make your turn speed work exactly the way you want.

I use Volt, Hemlock and devotion. I put sensitivity on 2, it's really handy. I just don't know how to deal with alternator and EVA at close range

I have brought my sensitivity down as you suggest, however I now find I can't get on target fast enough and get killed before I acquire the target. I must say that after going to default my k/d did improve so you are right now I want to be able to acquire targets faster which will greatly help my performance.

About the hip fire performance remember that many people draws a crosshair ou uses software to put one in the center of the screen. I never tested it myself, but I intend to, if I am honest, because everyone that did it and talked about it improved immediately, especially if you use R97 or Car. If you are a keyboard and mouse user like me, going for a factor above 1800 (factor being to multiply sensitivity value inside game x dpi in mouse drivers) is probably a mistake.

Good advice, only problem is that I didn't really know you could change the sensitivity. I've never bothered to. I never thought to. That's just bizarre.

Just started using the default sensitivity... I'm getting on average 5 more kills than normal. It's insane and such a small thing but it makes such a difference, even in close quarters twitchy fights. My movement esp turning 180 to climb buildings hasn't really been affected either.

how did u make the outlines and health bars yellow

its the exact oposite for me (but i play on pc) i started with 600dpi and ingamesensivity of 2. i increased it to 3 two days ago and it was like a whole new world. now im at 3.5. Espacially my hipfire performance increased dramaticly. Went over 30 kills for the first time.

My problem is that being older my reflexes are slower so I don't get as many kills as I use to a few years ago (COD). What confuses me is that the description for both talks about rotation speed????

Pro FPS players use low sensitivity and usually turn off controller vibration. I started doing the same thing about 3 years ago and it really helped.

Ive been playing for a week and ive been doing shit constantly, how do I get better? I followed all the steps and everything but i just cant get good I mean I struggle with hitting anyone and everyone kills me as soon as they see me

I came from apex where there was already a preference towards lower sensitivity and I've never had a problem with aiming. Last time I had a fast sensitivity was when it was actually necessary in a game like Fortnite.

How do you change your FOV on console?

I roughly have been getting 20-30 kills per game but I still wanna increase my accuracy. I'm on 5 sense also so I think I'll lower it and see how it works.

I have a problem where at the beginning of a match on my first life I'll get a streak of 7 to 12 kills and then after I die I only get as much as 2 to 3 kills or even less every life. Anybody else have this problem?

I went down to 2 on controller. Big improvement.

For me im running a 4-3, before this i was using 4-4 but tweaking it just a little made me go from, having more deaths then kills to it now being balanced!.

I usually get top of the leaderboard with maybe 15-20 kills, but my accuracy isn't very consistent. Tomorrow I'm going to jump on Titanfall 2 and try this out.

To anyone wondering if this works, I can tell you it does. I consider myself pretty average at shooters, but I've always played with my sensitivity at default on this game and it's a rare occasion for me not to make at least top three on the leaderboard at the end of a match

tony! bro. this is life chaning! your argument had some solid points and seemed to make sense so i made the plunge and tried it. First let me preface this by saying over the months i have tried different controller settings. I tried higher sensitivity, different response arc's (steady, and fine aim) and only a couple months ago made the difficult transition to a different button scheme ( I moved to evolved after trying bumper jumper, and i liked the mobility guide a lot also btw). But MAN after returning everything to default otherwise. AMAZING! :) easily added 5-10 kills per match on average and i play a lot of hardpoint so they count (even though they kind of dont lol) and make a huge difference! Keep it up man love your vids.

I'm one of the people who always uses ADS. Should I put my ADS speed at default and hip fire speed at high, to get those fast turns in bad situations and that way I can still get accurate shots at long range?

It will be good if on controller you can set sensivity to 3 but if you rotate your stick to other side very fast sensivity will be increased 7 or 6. Couse on pc you can set sensivity to low but rotate it so fast and you will rotate faster

Hey Tony, ever since I've lowered my sensitivity my game plays have improved tremendously. Last 10 game averages went from 5.6 to a 20.8

Serious question how in the hell do people play on a 5+ sensitivity, i play on 2 and think its to fast sometimes especially when sniping,

Now Im not saying im the best or most qualified person to say which gameplay style is better but from what i see, I personally still disagree hip fire and long range accuracy is something you can learn and improve but rotational speed is just something youll have to adjust to. By turning down your sensitivity you basically take away one of the most important gameplay elements and essentially disable yourself. Titanfall is a fast game where the ability to move quickly and turn on a dime is important. None the less I will try it.

if im honest i couldn't disagree more (for me at least) the difference between tf2 and cod/halo is the movement speed in tf2. when you limit yourself to slower turn speed you become more grounded because of how hard it becomes to air strafe our change directions and when your moving at close to or at max speed you need to be able to keep up with your targets when you do fly bys(killing targets mid air and continuing to keep your speed or turn or focus on your future route). also i think your over selling engagement distance because if you 90% is at medium to long then shotguns are always going to losing. I think moving in tf2 is just as important as aim because a lot of my kills i get when i come from above or behind people or i give them a really hard target to hit because of how fast im moving. thoughts? also im on PS4

I actually moved from 3 to 4 just recently. I'm fairly new to TF2 Ok I'm super new lol I have a total of 10h lol. I moved it up because while wall running or straf running trying to turn on an enemy who comes out a surprise that is to my side but not yet behind me I cant turn quick enough.

What I'm worried about is how it affects the integrity of your movement and agility, since this is a different beast from a lot of shooters. I'll give it a try and see how it goes :)

i've been playing titan-fall 2 allot i have no problems with sensitivity i use regular and i'm just purely good at the game i've masters slide hopping and getting the hang of air strafing always first of second i wish you could use different sensitivity for titan and pilot p.s always find your videos useful please keep up the content : )

Low sensitivity and high DPI?

I always play at sensitivity 3, and my Hip-Fire has always been great :D

I play on a low sensitivity and just snap to my targets instead of trying to strafe from one target to the next...

The only issue that I have with the default sensitivity is when you start to use your titan ...especially with ronin , I need to be fast with him ... I'll be cool an option that separates pilot sensitivity from the titan sensitivity...that is a huge huge change , at least for me

my sens is already at standard though... why would I even want to turn it up? a shotgun rusher with a higher sens takes longer to "lock on". if that's not true, I can still use verticality to my advantage. one jump and I'm out of his line of sight! I'd rather improvise at short ranges wih low sens than having to improvise at long ranges with high sens

So apparently my thumbs are magical because I am one of those high sensitivity players, the only thing I can't do is snipe with full auto stuff at sniper ranges, but that's from lack of practice

The only reason I can play on high sensitivity is because I play piano. It makes my fingers very fast and nimble.

I come from Battlefield 4 and I play on high sensitivity and have no problem reaching the top of the leaderboard on Titanfall. Also I had no learning curve with the hipfire in this game as Battlefield 4 also has hipfire weapons that I use (PDW-R for example) where you basically never need to aim down sight to kill anyone with that thing. I think the reason those people are on the bottom of the scoreboard is simply from reaction time and poor choices.

High sensitivity doesn't only help you in rotational speed. Tc2 is mobility focused. You are going to find it harder to follow targets that are moving the lower your sensitivity is.
