Tito is a great fighter and an awesome teacher. Problem nowadays he also tries to teach people things he isn't good at. Have you seen his video cutting an onion?
All jokes aside - Tito was by far the coach to get… he seems like he not only tried but genuinely cared. His ground n pound back in the day was frightening.
I don't know a damn thing about MMA. But I do know that Tito Ortiz has been very involved in steering kids away from drugs and crime. He has given his time and experience in speaking to teens, including at my son's high school, and for that he's my hero.
@@carter3369 how so ? The Bloke was tough as nails and even hid his bad eye to continue and almost become blind in his good eye, to make sure his family was good. I see Tito definitely making a bad choice with Matt, was only good at wrestling/judo. His fight was sloppy af and bisping would have destroyed him if was to go on.
This should be mandatory viewing for MMA fans. I love the meme that is Tito Ortiz as much as the next guy, but I love to see this side of him. Smart, eloquent, thoughtful, generous... He's got a good heart and I think people forget that when they hear about how much of an old mature Tito is and how much Tito wants to outlive his children 🤣
Tito was never smart, but he used to be very articulate. Great speaker. I honestly think it’s CTE. Not to mention that he abused drugs as a youth, we don’t know if that had consequences on his brain that worsened with age. He’s dumb but he’s not a bad guy.
@@BiggityBoggity8095it seems most of his ridiculousness comes out when he is the sole focus of attention. IE he gets nervous and farts out of his mouth uncontrollably. In certain settings he is very well spoken, just not telling Christopher Walken stories or crushing juice boxes on EPSN.
@@latinobandido7471yea I kinda agree, you can tell very quickly that he's not a dumb guy, sometimes ppl esp when there put on the spot, you'd be supirsed how tough some ppl are, that hate talking in front of ppl, and it messes with there nerves
@@latinobandido7471 Yeah and those certain settings involve being able to edit the footage before airing it, know what I mean. When he is live and that mouth gets too far ahead of that brain, he gets tossed up. That's not his fault, that is just who he is. A pre-recorded show like TUF though? Tito is the coolest dude on the block and can sell ketchup ice cubes to eskimos. I liked Tito before TUF but I REALLY liked him after it.
Described me prefect I just turned 30 but I still remember being like 12ish and just getting into the UFC and learning as much as I could not wanting to miss an event lol Man I was a big fan of Tito for a while after this season and watching him beat up shamrock twice lol I never liked Shamrock even though he did kinda get cheated here lol
Tito is an incredible coach. He got Kendall to the point where he was able to beat Ed and Kalib, nowadays those aren't upsets but at the time they were. I think a solid case could be made that Ortiz is the best TUF coach ever and ironically, you wouldn't have thought he would end up being a great coach prior to the show due to his personality.
Looking back, it's easy to tell why Tito was a star. Didn't realize how good his wrestling skills were. This old footage is golden. Shame how they've made a meme out of him now. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy! 🔥
Tito fried his own brain cells. He should have quit once he looked like a great big dummy. His communication skills were warped after all his partying.
Bisping's reaction to Ross showing up for the semi-finals is one of my all time favorite TUF moments. Pointon may not be the best fighter but he has the heart of a champion.
Tito gets a lot of hate but he really was a fantastic coach, and I believe he’s a good guy deep down. CTE is no joke and I believe it was a large contributor to him becoming less articulate when speaking. Wish him the very best
My first ufc PPV that I ever ordered was UFC 40 and at that time Tito was the man! People were calling him the pound for pound best fighter at the time which sounds crazy now lol. And his walk out at ufc 40 to limp bizkits break stuff is still my favorite walkout ever. And he was a good coach. Man have times changed!
as someone who's just gotten into watching mma over the past year i think tito is the man and the memes don't take away whatsoever from this version of him imho
@kennghost As a long time fan, that's because you didn't witness his decline in real time. It's all available for you to watch at your leisure. Tito may have been the man, but it was for a very brief period in time. You also have to realize all of the memes about him are because of things he has actually said and/or done. It's all legit Tito.
This footage showed how much of a heart and mindset Tito has. He’s a real badass and one of the OG’s to do a takedown and smash you in with brutal ELBOW strikes.
Tito was at his most likable when he was a coach opposite ken shamrock, because he actually cared about his fighters and helped them greatly but ken only wanted to help himself
Bisping became well liked after he won the title form rockhold, but before that, he was a massive douchebag, who treated everyone terribly, maybe the dan handerson KO put a bit of humbling into him
Bisping was so hated back then, that DH BOMB really humbled him. After that KO he seemed to have changed and slowly became more likeable and respectful.
Damn dude that sucks for Matt Hamill that they had to explain to him that he wasn’t going to be fighting Friday. Homie really just wanted to fight again
This might be the same channel but...I've already watched every TUF Season in chronological order. 10 to 15minute segments all put together very well so...when I saw this pop up I thought "I've Already Seen All Of These Before I Won't See Anything New"...well here I am over an hour in and I still haven't seen anything new. But I just do not get bored of these things🤣🙌🏽
tito was really good here. man good coach and stategic. shown as a dummy in interviews etc but he was a good coach here and seemed a lot more coherent as well and sharper. poor guy with the cte. very supportive - getting the interpreter is gold. tito really kept his cool as well. ken was out of control. supposed to not be a good trainer at all.
By ALL accounts ken shamrock is a horrible guy. I have heard stories of 1) he treats children fans badly 2) CRIPPLED opponents on purpose a la palhares On the other hand FRANK shamrock is a good dude - ken and frank are adopted into a group home not biological brothers btw. Frank shanrock personally wrote letters to my friend who got off drugs. Frank sent him all sorts of signed memorabilia and encouragement - told know one - I only know because it was hung up in my friend’s house
This was one of my favourite seasons of TV period. Tito as a coach was amazing, there was still a freshness to the show but it'd been established enough by then. Such a great season
I have never liked Tito until watching these shows! It's completely changed my opinion of him,,, he is a great coach , and a damn good person. I can see why his fighters learn and gel. He has the right attitude.
Tito still the biggest middle weight that ever stepped in the octagon. I know this light heavyweight but back then I swear dude was the biggest middle weight you’d ever seen. What a time 😢
@@DrFurburgermight be real? 😂 Repeated hits to the head without a doubt cause short and long term effects. Especially when these fighters are taking extreme weight cuts to make their fight. They’re brain is more likely to rattle when hit.
@@DrFurburgerlmfao, dude, have u seen those football players brains after they died? Literally fucking carvings of brain raw ting away in the center due too constant head trauma, the rest is still fine and intact even after being extracted outa the skull
Used to love this show. Spike TV was one of the coolest channels ever sorta like MTV in its early days. Not many episodes I messed of the early seasons of this show and it’s cool looking back and seeing a few fighters that now everyone in the fight game or fans of it know.
It’s so nice to watch Dana enjoy his favorite part of the show, the coaches challenge. A day when the fighters get to kick back and relax, and all the pressure is on the coaches.
Tuf was so good back then. Why cant it be this good anymore? Even with the past 2 seasons, fighters like McGregor vs Chandler, pena vs nunes. They dont focus on fighter dilemma/drama in the house. the coaches dont go at each other.
If Tito only knew one day, Matt would beat them in MMA. He wouldn’t trained him so good lol 😂 cant believe Tito actually lost to Matt Hamill in the UFC.
Father time wasn't kind to Tito but as Mike Goldberg whould say, he truly is a legend of the UFC. He came time and time again and even on a 4 year losing streak he came back and got a shocking win against Bader as a serious underdog. Heart of a lion.
Outside of Michael Bispings biography spoiling this season, seeing Tito like this has definitely endeared him way more to me. I never disliked Tito even when he became a meme. He's a good dude underneath all the fight promotion nonsense.
Tito isn't a villain as much as a village idiot. Hes Lawnmower Man before the computer. He has a lot of heart but not so much brains. Im a fan. He's a legend in the sport whether we like it or not. Whether we laugh or not.
I'm only 43 years old; I'm an old mature. I mean I'm matured old that I mean very fast but at the same time my body hasn't matured great just because my father is really old; my father is 80 years old and my grandmother is 100 years old so my body is in great shape.
Shies the kind if stand up guy Brad Tavares is, to be on the opposite side and encouraging the guy not to quit....how it should be, to encourage anyone who is down, tobget uo and fight or to continue....not to give up.
