To Net or Brush First, That is the Question 

You pretty much said what I said in the video unless there's a lot of leaves in the pool then I may net the majority of them out first.

It doesn’t matter unless you just asked chems like soda ash. Then you’d want to run the pump for an hour or so then test. But thats to give the chems a chance to mix into the water.

To be honest I’ve not heard of nor experienced calcium (mineral) deposits on a vinyl liner pool. Ive had several above ground pools all with vinyl liners with Arizona hard water and never had an issue with mineral/calcium build up on any of it. That said, I’d wonder if what you have is actually calcium deposits. Question: does it brush off?

@PoolSchooler , no, the white build-up don't brush off, so I'm wondering what solution would loosen them up so that I can brush them off.

As a beginner forced to care for my own pool (no affordable service is available in my rural NC area, unlike Vegas or Phoenix), I've learned a lot from your videos. @@thejoyfuljoy glad my videos in my channel have been helpful. That’s why I created it in the first place. To help pull owners service the pool themselves. And hopefully save money. Truthfully, it’s not a super hard thing to do unless you get into some really tricky stuff but take your time and be patient with yourself and you will do fine.

I think that's one for an exterminator and not a pool guy. Sorry.
