@@kingofqueens777 assuming that you have your suction side valve adjusted the same between the vacuum (dedicated vacuum line) and skimmer when your pump motor no matter what speed the pump is running at when it kicks up to 80% full speed it will definitely create more suction. Just by virtue of the higher RPMs. However, typically if I manually vacuum a pool attaching my vacuum to the sideboard, I increase the suction 100% to vacuum and shut off the suction to the skimmer and doing so. @@abe7 trichlor granules are not easy to find. I would suggest doing an online search for EZ chlor or pool season. Trichlor granules

@@swaggchu789 clear the vegetation away from your pool if possible. I am not a fan of covers.

I've found a good skimmer running off an outlet does a great job attending to leaves and grass clippings. They tend to float for a bit. I don't want to mention names here, but there's a skimmer device that threads into an outlet and using a venturi at the bottom really sucks the stuff down and into an attached bag. Whoever designed my inground put the built in skimmer at the prevailing windward end meaning all the debris is blown to the opposite corner from the skimmer. Fortunately there's an outlet there and this device works great. It doesn't remove the debris from the water, you need to empty the bag, but it makes gathering it much easier.
