Please pray for the hundreds of thousands of victims of paedophile priests and the victims of nuns in mother and baby homes, the babies buried in unmarked graves and the victims of brothers in indigenous boarding schools who were beaten, starved, raped and murdered.

If you look at ADAM as meaning, "humans", but more specifically as, "humans who love God" (Jews, Christians, and Muslums in this setting), and picture them as prepubescent children. Then we take the rib. Human have 12 pairs of ribs, 7 pairs connect directly to the sternum and are called true ribs. Now, if you look at Genesis 2, KJV, you see it says that God took out of man (the human population) and brought her unto the man (a single man). She was fashioned by God specifically for him from his rib (i.e. his need for a structural integrity that's united with the sternum/the breastbone which protects the heart and lungs (the breath of life) which are organs central to God's existence within the body). Then if we look at the whole picture, we see that Adam and Eve are everyday kids who are separated from one another by God to teach them what it means to love one another and grow (up) in and through God's lens. God names both man and woman and unites them back as one flesh, to protect everything that is integral to God's love within their united body and marriage (a marriage is like an arc, a ship, a body- all having/being ribs). I won't go into the genetics of and environmental factors that physically alter the human body that factor into the shaping of same sex unity here but that's just cause I have a bit of a headache and don't want to have to do all the research to illustrate why we (as Catholics) should be more open to different forms of marriage. Anyways, I liked that poem, the one without the attribution. That was a beautiful recitation, it made me wonder who you were picturing and thinking about. It put me outside the scene watching as an observer your oration of love seeing your love before your mind's eye.
