To be fair the referees did a poor job with their hand signals when calling fouls. They were talking to the pullers but without proper hand signals the crowd and announcer can’t tell what’s going on. In that respect they could learn a lot from watching some European competitions where hand signals tend to be a lot more clear and consistent.
The commentator is no Neil Pickup, sounds like he's calling a WWE match. Chance had Todd on his side on the first match, but Todd has powered his way out of that position before. It's not a win until he's pined! Good match except for the announcer.
Holy smokes, a michigan based armwreatling channel....wonder out of where.... im in metro Detroit (sterling heights) and def want to start checking out some live events. Somewhat new fan, got into this sport about 5 yrs ago ** Kellog arena is in battle creek son of ....thats so close. Shame I missed it! Good pull fellas
Cause there can be cheating between the ref and maybe one of the pullers I think where they discuss when to cheat or give a clue about when to go. At least with ready youre making sure both are getting ready so there is no cheating.
Armwrestling isn't like other sports. It's the only one where the rules allow one competitor to take an advantage of the other in the setup before the match starts. Which is why it will never be seen like other sports, where unfair advantages before the competition begins aren't allowed in their rules. The closest that Armwrestling comes to eliminating unfair advantages before a match starts, are WAL/PAL rules.
Thats my coach Tim Smith from TimMouthy Announcing he's a great armwrestler, wonderful human being, and a fantastic announcer. He works extremely hard and deserves some love for his announcing1
Chance reminds me of how I used to pull. Except he's ridiculously strong. Making those adjustments like that. Chance has been looking better and better and better. Trouble's coming guys 🙂
@@danhenderson5198 Ah, I recall the days gripping up with definite superior opponents; the whole time the referee exchanging the death eye. Me just thinking: "Gonna do some fucked up shit, doodaaa, doodaaa, hope I get away with it, oh deedoodadayyy" 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I dont mean this as an insult but as a serious question and i want to have a serious answer: What has Chance achieved that he deserves having supermatches all the time?
Exactly my thoughts. Last time Chance lost many people were saying he is overrated yet he gets this match and yet all people have to say is "Chance is so strong".
))) Have you seen Todd used crazy side pressure move with full force? He played with him. With equal top roll opponents he goes straigh to strap. Here he just played with him. And as hook player i also prefer pulling with top rollers in strap.
Because todd did not pull. Thats it. I havn't seen him using 100 force with crazy full force side pressure attack. Most of the fight he just hold him without strap. Whatch his pull with Irakly or Devon and compare to this here he was too relaxed. Todd 100% time just maintained position and tested his strength. Thats it if tood pulled like on East vs West he would pin him in 1-2 seconds.
Zilla’s built like a brick shithouse. Seeing Dave handle Todd as easily he did during their recent practice video tells you just how powerful Dave is (and we saw it again in his match with Alex). Still, Todd is an absolute bulldog and on one hell of a run. 💪🏼
Exactly what I was thinking that's why I want to see Dave rematch Devon where they call fouls if you put you're shoulder under the table 50 times. Because without that strait arm under the table kings move Dev wouldent stop him.
@@adamwiseman5831 I think you’re right. Dave is perhaps only 2nd to Levan in sheer power. Vitaly is maybe a little less powerful (than Dave) but he has huge hands and long levers that would prove a challenge to anyone of lesser stature.
Wow..2 losses in a row to Chance..but damn the lad is strong..that was so close..and Toddzilla is absolutely brilliant.. So I’m thinking anyone Todd has beat Chance can also..Lachlan vs Chance would be a win to Chance from watching that.
@@ruaraidh74 long long ago Ryan beat Chance..they are both completely different to then. Chance is a good match for Lachlan..I’m Australian Ryan and Lachlan are my favourites…but Lachlan is a complete unknown..he has had very few matches compared to the experience of Chance.
Such a cool match to have. Hutchings seemingly wasn't going full-insane mode all the way to the pad, which is nice to see for a match like this. Him staying where he's comfortable and doing it that way made for a cool match. Also I like that the ref wasn't ridiculous with calling inconsequential elbow fouls. It felt reasonable and good for the match.
Good job by the announcer, hopefully he can do more events (but with a better vantage point or a monitor or earpiece to be able to see/hear some of the calls).
You gave todd a good fight. Chance you've got a lot of potential just keep going and learn from the veterans. You can't beat experience, strenght and stamina.
lol the commentator clearly clueless on what is happening, chance had zero chance at any time at any round in this match, todd was just experimenting to see in which worst positions he can still hold him, because we all know chance has no strength
Who was the commentator here? Really liked the commentating! This venue was much more exciting than the KOTT3 snooze-fest commentating! Nice try Chance... not an easy match and you made it tough for Todd! Congrats to Toddzilla!
"He cannot put Chance away!" [Immediately puts Chance away.] hehe Like in football. "They can't seem to sack Tom Brady tonight... there's the first sack."
So you can be losing and just lift your elbow off the pad and get a restart? They really need to fix that, and need an official league, until then arm wrestling will always be a sideshow.
Chance is going to be champion eventually if he keeps improvement and he is still young. Many years of prime power in his 30s and 40s. This kid is real deal. Next great mutil year champion in the making.
I'm so used to running fouls, I hate that they stopped the match every time there was a foul. And speaking of fouls, there were quite a few that went uncalled...
Chance bro you are an up and coming champ, you turned into one of my favorite pullers, I've been in this sport since 2006 and I've got to say I seen a lot of people you are your own style and a super versatile beast
And Dave Chaffee was just toying with this version of Todd Hutchings and almost nearly lifted him across the table when they arm wrestled. Just imagine how strong Dave Chaffee would be.
back here after the Irakli match. now I want to see Irakli vs Chance Shaw One guy looks like he’s going to the Gym vs The other going to a Hawaiian Luao
Chance is looking much better geezzzzzzzz. That kid is getting bigger and stronger. He learned a lot that much no doubt.Young as he is competing with these older more experience top notch pound for pound arm wrestlers and hanging tuff.I give 1 round to chance on that battle.Toddzilla is still the side pressure champ but seen his hand taken by chance tonight wow.
Just shows how styles make matches ... Todd had way more problem with Chance than all the previous data would have predicted . No disrespect but could he have subconsciously taken the match slightly for granted ? When you have Brzenk etc in your sights it easy to overlook the next opponent a little
